Lilith wrinkled her nose. "Do you think after this we can build a little cottage on that little planet we were in?"
Lilith wrinkled her nose. "Do you think after this we can build a little cottage on that little planet we were in?"
"Virdi? Absolutely." He nodded. "Oooookay let's head to the mechanic's shop first."
She grinned and nodded her agreement with the mechanics. "Do you think I could go shopping for clothes? You don't have to come with me."
"Nah I'll come with. I could use some new duds."
"Okay." She looked around. "To the mechanic's first?"
"Yep." He started off in the direction of the bustling crowd, hands in his pockets.
Lilith grabbed his arm and waited for him to move.
(Started. Not stared.)
(oh)
Lilith grabbed his arm and walked with him, staying quiet and keeping her gaze averted.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"I just don't like crowds." She murmured so quietly, he barely heard her.
Jules nodded. Okay…I get that.
She tightened her grip on him and glanced nervously at a burly man passing.
They made it to the shop without incident. The woman at the counter had cropped hair and a grease covered face. She was toying with a gadget of sorts. "Welcome to Millie's Mechanic how may I help you?" She said, not looking up.
Jules paused. "Well….we'd like it if you came out and took a look at our ship."
"What happened to it?"
"We… um… ran into some pirates and they burned a hole into the side of it." Lilith answered for Jules.
The woman looked up. "Pirates? I gotta see this." She slid her goggles up her head and slid over the counter. "I'm Millie by the way. Millie Tonshi."
Lilith nodded. "I'm Lilith Wyrmwood." She grinned nervously, still feeling out of sorts.
"Jules." Jules stated. "This way."
Millie followed them through the crowd and to the landing bay. "Which one is it?"
Lilith was busy nervously looking around at the crowd and didn't respond.
"The one with the yellow doors." Jules pointed.
Millie headed over and stared at it, her face full of concentration. "Hmmmm. Well….You did a good job actually. I don't think there's much else I can do for you. Besides, I don't sell parts for old models."
Lilith pressed against Jules as a man glared over, yelling for someone through the crowd.
"Thank you Millie." He said.
She nodded and started back to the shop.
Are you okay Lil?
It's very loud here. The air and atmosphere aren't helping either. She cast a frightened look to a couple of people talking nearby in hushed voices.
Hey…calm down. He rubbed her back a bit.
Lilith nodded and swallowed a little. Can we go get clothes?
Yeah.
He led her to one of the many department stores. "Alright where are the clothes…"
Over there. Lilith silently pointed over.
"Right." Jules started over. "What exactly are you looking for?"
Just comfortable stuff that I can wear around the ship. Bras and underwear too. Mainly underwear.
"Oh." Jules blinked. "Well alright then. Lead the way."
