“Slipped my mind?” He realized that was a lame excuse.
“Slipped my mind?” He realized that was a lame excuse.
"Lame," Lillian called him out, "How much older is he?"
“I think he’s 28 or something now,”
(Sorry, I'm helping with dinner.)
"Thank you!" She smiled sweetly. She knew this recipe by heart so she immediately started, humming while she worked.
Ryan sat down and played some random tune on his guitar
She hummed along with the tune, working without even thinking about it. She popped a few chocolate chips in her mouth. "You want some?" She shook the bag.
Ryan grinned, “Yes please,”
"Then come get some." She chuckled, popping a few more in her mouth.
“I think he’s 28 or something now,”
"Does he have a girlfriend?"

“A wife… and two kids… and a dog,”
"Then come get some." She chuckled, popping a few more in her mouth.
Ryan trotted over with a smile, “Food!”
(HI FRIENDS! I'M BACK!)
"Wow, married already," she laughed slightly, "Doing a lot better than Cooper."
(HI FRIENDS! I'M BACK!)
(HEY!)
She pulled the bag out of his reach. "Ah ah ah! What's the magic word?" She teased.
"Wow, married already," she laughed slightly, "Doing a lot better than Cooper."
“Yeah, well. Cooper’s an ass…”

“Please… food!” He smiled.

"I can agree to that."
"Much better." She poured a few into his hand and kissed his cheek. She poured the rest into her batter, mixing them through.

“Thank you de-arling,” He’s break the habit someday.

"I can agree to that."
“I think we all can but credit given… he does have his moments,”
"He does. I suppose," Lillian held a hand to her head, "God I still can't believe I went ragdoll. I haven't done that in years."
She dropped spoonfuls onto baking trays and slid them in the oven, licking the extra batter off the spoon. "Now we wait." She grabbed her phone and put on her playlist. The first song came on and she smiled. She mouthed along with the words, dancing like the, well, dancer she was. (The song is Classic by MKTO.)
