Nathaniel nodded and stood up, cleaning off his plate in the sink and looking around, confused. "Where am I supposed to put it?"
"Try the tray," Joan sarcastically bites back.
His face flushed a bit as he set the plate back on the tray. He looked back at Joan and waited for instruction
Since no one seemed to notice, Will slipped out of the room and ran to his house.
"Do you want to be dropped?" Joan needed to make sure.
"W-we can try it." Honestly, just the idea of it made him anxious, but he wanted to try anyways.
(I love how Will just slips out of the room unnoticed, XD.)
"Ok," Joan walked through the door, to the elevator, and up to the roof. "Grab on, I'm going to fly you up then drop you. But don't worry, I'll be right next to you too."
Nathaniel's heart raced, but he nodded nervously and grabbed onto Joan
Joan flew up a hundred feet from the roof before soaring over a lake. "I'M GONNA DROP YOU HERE," She screamed over the wind.
Nathaniel clung to Joan, holding his breath as he looked at the ground far below him
(FREEZE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!)
Will rushes to his basement and grabs a pair of wings that he cut off of a younger angel.
Joan let go of Nash, closing her own wings as well. They started plummeting slowly before gaining speed. 700 feet, 650, 600 Joan counted the feet down-having started a story(100 feet) above a seven story building and no over a lake.
Nathaniel screamed as he fell, terrified. He tried his best to remember how to fly, but all he was doing was spinning towards the concrete. In a few seconds, he could be dead.
"OPEN YOUR WINGS," Joan screamed. "NASH."
People on the ground were pointing up at them now. Nathaniel tried to open up his wings, but it was very difficult when you were spinning at high speeds. The wind kept making his wings get dragged to his side, which made him spin more, or just back onto his back. He was hyperventilating again, panicking since he couldn't figure out what he was supposed to do to survive.
(I'm not needed right now, T-T.)
Joan grabbed Nash, strapping him to her hip as she started gliding. Note to self: NEVER do that again, "You okay?" She whispered in his ear.
(Tell us what you're doing then)
Nathaniel closed his eyes, clinging to Joan for dear life. He was shaking, but seemed to be making a poor attempt to slow his breathing. The people on the ground had no idea what just happened.
(I'll be back in a few hours, feel free to use my character until I arrive. Bye!)
(k. BYE!!!)
(I'm back!!)
(Yaaaay)
(OK,) Joan quickly landed in a tree and turned toward Nash, "Are you ok? That was a bad idea. I'm s-sorry." Joan picture what exactly could have happened, "I won't do that ever again."
Nathaniel hadn't let go of Joan, still terrified. He'd probably never learn to fly. At least not like that. He was terrible under pressure. He tried to say something along the lines of "it's fine", but his voice just faltered and squeaked, fading away.
Joan turned Nash into herself and held onto him, whispering reassurances quietly. After an hour or two Joan needed to get moving. "Are you willing to hold on again? I told Will I'd help him find Patch."
He nodded weakly, preparing himself to be yanked into the sky. He hoped that the experience didn't give him a fear of heights. That would definitely be unfortunate if he were to ever learn how to fly.
Joan slowly lifted up, soaring fast. SHe glided low, effortlessly. It only took twenty minutes to reach the fountain of youth. As soon as she begun to hover people were throwing rocks and other things at her. "You have to jump the other two feet, ready?" Joan asked, ready to drop him.
