(The Malfoy gang we were just dealing with was Draco Malfoy's father, Lucius. He is a few years older than Harry's parents, and in the book it shows Lucius Malfoy (as a prefect, meaning he is at least a fifth year at this point) welcoming a first year Severus Snape to the Slytherin table. In this roleplay, depending on whether Lucius is at least fifth year or not, the Marauders (James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and Peter Pettigrew) may or may not be at Hogwarts yet. Our story is set while Lucius Malfoy is still at school and Harry Potter isn't even a thought yet)

Scipio walked outside and dropped his books on the ground, summoning his broomstick and hopping on. He glided over to the Whomping Willow and circled it, just out of reach of its aggressive branches. This was something he liked to do to clear his mind.
