"You… you left?" Vin blinked the tears away and shook his head. "It's alright…"
"You… you left?" Vin blinked the tears away and shook his head. "It's alright…"
"I went to grab some more ice cream. I'm sorry," Vien continued to apologize, holding Vin tightly to his chest as he felt guilt crashing down on him
Vin fought to control himself and hugged Vien back. "It's… it's okay… this wasn't your fault… none of it was…" It was mine. I'm glad he woke me up before I had to relive it.
"I'm sorry for leaving," Vien mumbled, continuing to hold Vin tightly to his chest. He rubbed at Vin's back, trying his best to be as soothing as possible
"It's alright. It wasn't you… I have nightmares all the time…" He shut his eyes tightly trying to blot out the face of his cousin.
"Can I…is there anything I can do to help?" Vien asked softly. "Backrub, liquor, ice cream?"
"Yeah, don't blame yourself for not being here… you woke me up at a good time." He squeezed him, feeling grateful that he didn't have to see his cousin die again.
"All of my offers still stand. I know how horrible nightmares can be," Vien murmured
"Okay…" Vin relaxed into the other.
Vien wrapped his arms around Vin, a hand moving to rub gently at his back. He felt horrible for not being here, feeling like he could have helped if he had just been with Vin
Vin still felt tired, even more so in Vien's arms, but he didn't want to fall back asleep and see his cousin.
"How about we move to your bed? That way you can lay down and I can give you a backrub," Vien suggested gently
Vin shakily inhaled and nodded, swinging his legs off of the couch to get up.
Vien got up with him, taking Vin's hand gently before beginning to lead him to the bedroom
Vin stumbled blindly with him and felt relieved when Vien gently pushed him down on the bed; it was comfortable and familiar.
Vien shifted so that he was hovering a bit over Vin. "Lay on your stomach, love," he murmured
Vin half-opened his eyes and rolled over into the pillows. They smelled delightfully of Vien.
Vien smiled as Vin cuddled the pillows. He slipped his hands beneath Vin's shirt so he could rub at his back a bit better, beginning to work at his shoulder blade area first
Vin relaxed a little, so Vien didn't have to feel how tensed up he was but failed. Relaxing after a nightmare was hard.
Vien frowned a little bit at how tense Vin was. He pressed down a little harder, doing his best to try and work the tension from Vin's shoulders
Vin grunted quietly but didn't protest. He worked on relaxing so Vien didn't have to work harder.
Vien continued to rub at Vin's shoulders firmly, intent on doing as much as he could to make the other feel better. He wasn't very good at comforting people with words, but he was usually alright with things like this
Vin murmured something indistinct and relaxed a little more. The message felt great.
Vien smiled to himself as Vin began to relax. He moved a tad lower, now massaging more of the area right below Vin's shoulder blades
Vin sighed gently as he felt himself mechanically relax, that was the best so far, and it was only the beginning.
Vien continued what he was doing, his smile widening as he realized Vin was enjoying himself. He moved down a bit more, pressing a quick kiss to the top of Vin's back before working on massaging him
Vin laughed gently, his stress melting away. "Why'd you do that… huh…?" He asked hazily.
"I'm trying to be affectionate," Vien said with a soft laugh. He continued massaging Vin's back, now moving so he was a bit closer to his sides
Vin chuckled gently. "Okay… this feels great… you know…"
"Good," Vien responded gently, a faint warm feeling beginning to build in his chest. He liked when he made someone happy, especially if that someone was Vin
