Abby felt bad for not telling him. Maybe she would. One day. Not today. Her eyes couldn't help but flit to the time. Her breath hitched. This was the time that they would have been meeting.

River spotted the time. He said quietly, "You okay?"

"We were supposed to meet now at the-" Her phone buzzed with a text.

Her eyes widened, then narrowed in anger. "That no good…"

"What's not good?" River asked trying to look at her phone.

Abby showed him the text. Another rang in. Another.

"He's joking right?" River frowned, "That is such a douche move."

Abby looked at the new messages. It buzzed again.

Her eyebrows shot up in alarm, showing River the last message. "He can't come here, but I don't want to respond."

(Ok, quick clarification. They are long distance, but the reason they are meeting, or were supposed to meet, is that Eric is visiting family. Jsyk!)

River gently took his phone and looked at her, "Did he break up over text? Cause if so we could say your sick?"

"We?" Abby asked. "You'd help me?"
