I was just curious if you've gotten tired of the place yet.

Cameron's sick. So I kind of have to go back sometime.

Cameron's sick again? Fine. Play the Cameron card. Zackary walked forward and touched her head. North's head suddenly felt delightfully full again.

North grinned widely. Can we go back now?

She stood up but frowned. Wait. How do I get back?

I don't know, the same way you got here?

Yeah but you usually sent me back. Didn't you?

Yes, but I flew you back. I can't fly now if you can't tell.

No like back to M's. (i might have to go)

You always send me back to M's from the clearing and I can get there but I don't know how to get back from there.

North shifted into the bird once again and flew to the clearing.

When her feet hit the ground, she appeared at M's dimension. There.

She walked back up to Cameron's room happily and knocked on the door.

There was no response. Cameron was still asleep since North hadn't been away for long.

North sighed and sat down next to his bed. Told you he was sick.

Well, I replenished his magic supply, so he should be okay soon. Don't worry about it.

Okay, thanks. She got up, wondering where M was. It was getting late and Xanthe wasn't back yet either.

M's probably down in the kitchen. Zackary said in her ear. I saw him when we walked in there. He was talking to Pax about something, though.

It's kind of weird having you in my head but at the same time you're being very helpful.
North went downstairs and found M in the kitchen, as Zackary had said. "Hey."

Yeah, people haven't said that before, yet then again, I've only inhabited another's mind once.
Pax was sitting on M's lap, and their heads were so close, it was easy to assume they were having a great time. But North could hear their voices drifting out of the area. It wasn't easy to hear what they were talking about, but too late, they'd stopped and looked over.
"Oh, hey North. Dinner's in the fridge." M grinned.

Yeah ok.
"Why do you always stop talking when I'm here?" She said eyeing them suspiciously as she got some food out of the fridge.

M glanced at her. "You want to know what a long-time married couple has been talking about?"
Pax laid his head down on M's shoulder and put one of his hands on his neck.

"God no." She leaned up against the counter and ate a little. I don't even know why I try with them.

Zackary chuckled gently. Married couples share their secrets.
M rolled his eyes. "That's what I thought."

If you're in my head, does that mean you know everything about me?

If I wanted to, I could, since I am a small portion of Mind Reader, but I won't.
