"Poe. Poe-mo-slo-go." Ace giggled, "Edgar Allan Poe. Zebra lion baby go bow-wow!"

"Are you trying to tell me the baby of a abre and a lion is a dog?" Blake raised an eyebrow. "I don't think that's how genetics work." He mumbled to himself.

Zander smiled, and held out his pinky." I pinky promise to never, ever choose to or otherwise, hurt Dani."

Ace grinned, a delirious grin, but still a happy one. "Punnett squares! Sith lord! Luke, I am your father."

"Stars Wars, huh? I never actually got to watch those movies." Blake mused out loud.

Mackenzie locked her pinky with Zander's. But she still wanted an extra measure of security. "Cwoss youw heawt and hope to die, stick a cupcake in youw eye." She said.

"Pew, pew, pew, pew! Lightsabers!" Ace cracked up, "Zebras in the sky!"

Ace grinned, a delirious grin, but still a happy one. "Punnett squares! Sith lord! Luke, I am your father."

Zander laughed again." Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a cupcake in my eye."

"I saw a unicorn once! His name was Kameo." Ace smiled, "The stars are overrated, they could never compare to the constellation of freckles on Kameo's face."

With that, Mackenzie was sold. She smiled. "Okay." She rested her head back on his shoulder.

"Well right now you've gotta stay here with Macha and me, okay?"

"Do you know where Kameo is?" Ace cocked his head, "He would love you. KAMEO?!"

"Thank you." Zander said as she settled again." I guess we should just look around then." Zander took Ellis hand, and walked down the hallway.

"Who wouldn't love me, Ace?" Blake ruffled Ace's hair.

"Dunno." Ace shrugged.

Blake hummed to himself, trying to keep Ace occupied. "What's you're favorite color?"

"Blue and gold." Ace smiled, "What song is your favorite?"

"You gotta swear to keep it a secret." Blake grinned.

Ace leaned in, "Okay!"

"Halfway There, by Big Time Rush." Blake whispered, his voice hushed.

"I like Skinny Love by Birdy." Ace smiled.

He got injected again and fell away into unconsciousness, thinking about cheeseburgers.
