"I've dealt with things more horrifying than a little girl desperate for revenge," Aquare seethed. The cold prickled on her skin and dripped through her veins. "You would know. Wouldn't you, Kula?"
Kula shut her eyes tightly and reopened them. Her fingers were shaking dangerously close to the trigger. "Get out of my head," she demanded, but her voice shook.
Aquare smirked. "You're weak. It's a wonder you lasted so long. Longer than Bryllis…"
Kula squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head. "No…"
"And Aviline…"
Kula bit back a sob.
"And… What was his name? Ja- Jav-?"
"You don't deserve to remember his name!" Kula spit out.
"Javile?"
Kula opened her eyes. She couldn't see anything but pain.
(Yeeeeaaaahhhh… Where precisely is everyone else?)
(Elias is at the gate to the main fortress, Estelle, Kula, Winter, and Admiral Aquare are all somewhere a little while away from Elias… And Shiloh is still inside.)
Winter was horrified. She gently took the blaster from Kula. She looked shell shocked. Winter snarled at Admiral Aquare. "You did the same thing to Kula, as you did to my family… I was at my family's execution. Their crimson blood stained the snow. It made me die a little bit inside, everyday… I will never be myself again… I had to stifle my cries, or you would have found me. You made me, a little girl, grow up too fast. It's what happens when everything they love, was taken. I will never find joy in the snow again. It the part of me that I can't escape. I chose to embrace it. The cold. It numbs, and it burns. Your choice. I chose the numb. For you, I give the cold fire. You can't burn long enough…" Winter pressed her hand harder to Admiral Aquare's face harder, rendering her unable to move, but she could still speak. "Come now, Aquare. Are you cold? Let's see if your still smirking when your blood is slush in your veins…" Winter smiled. Elias was helping the wookies tear down that heavy metal door. They were one push away from the door collapsing in. Elias stopped them. He yelled in Sherriwook, "Let's free the Shiloh! Be prepared for a fight you wookies!!!" They broke through the doors, and plunged into the battle that lay before them…
(Essar is still on the hill watching all the drama unfold… He's the smart one…)
(oooohhhh… Essar is breaking his morals… lol)
(Okee)
Essar had lost contact with the others. His comlink was jammed. He sprinted down the ridge and snuck into the barracks. None of his team were there. He turned a corner and ducked into another corridor.
Elias ran over to the control center after he had blasted a few Imperials sky high… He let the wookies take their revenge. He let them break whatever they wanted. He jammed the communication towers on the asteroid. He then located Shiloh in detention block 113A… He proceeded to go free her with Revion the wookie at his side…
No one is here. That was odd. He sprinted out of the building and toward the control center, where the sound of blasters was still echoing. If that's anyone, it's my team.
One of the wookies alerted Elias that someone was coming. He sighed. He shouted in Sherriwook, "If the person has blue hair, no harm can come to them!" The wookies roared back in response.
Essar dashed into the room. "There you guys are! I lost sight of you guys on the ridge!"
Elias laughed. "Thank the maker! You finally showed up for the party. We've got to find Shiloh to free her. Oh, if you recognize any of those names that are on that list for the holding cells… Feel free to free them. That's what the wookies are doing…"
Essar nodded, scanning the list. His heart stopped. "No way…" He whispered.
Elias stopped. "No way, what Essar? Who did you find? Is it another Hothian?"
"I found my kid." He said, pointing to the list.
Elias eyes widened. "You found your child. That must mean, your wife must be here somewhere! Keep checking the registries!"
Essar scrolled through the list. "She's here!" He whispered hoarsely.
Elias was flipping out. "On the night stars! We have to go free them too!!! We must hurry though. Get your child and wife, and I'll get Shiloh. Meet me here in 20 minutes."
Kula squeezed hereye a shut. She was stuck. Reliving her memory of that night. Over and over and over. The screams. Their screams. Winter had been right, except for one thing. They weren't her family.
Aquare watched Kula curiously. "She's remembering. She can't stop," she marveled. "It's incredible."
Kula opened her eyes and looked pleasingly at Winter. "Don't kill her. Don't let her kill Shiloh. Please. She's… She's…" She couldn't continue.
"Done." Essar dashed down the corridor. He opened the cell door. A young child was huddled in the corner. She looked about 8. "Wreyna!" He called softly. "Wreyna, it's me!" Her eyes widened. "Dad?" She stood up shakily. Force, she was so skinny. She looked sick. She rushed over to him. He wrapped her in a hug. "Dad!" She exclaimed. "You remember me? You were only 4!" He choked back tears. "Of course I do!" Wreyna sobbed. "Where's your mom?" He asked her.
(Gtg, mom is turning off the wifi…)
(Hello.)
WInter gently touched Kula on the shoulder. "I know Shiloh's all you have left. She won't kill Shiloh. I promise you, she can't. There are things that stand in her way. Mainly, Elias and Essar. Another force of troopers would be the only thing that could stop them. And, they wouldn't last long against angry wookies. I promise you that Shiloh will come back to us in one piece. Me, I don't know…" Winter softly said. "I'm hurt, and hurt pretty bad. I know I've lost some blood, but that's ok. I've know what blood loss is like. It's fine. It just feels colder, it doesn't bother me. I'm fine. I'll live… I hope… I'm just standing here, slowly bleeding, it'll stop, soon. When I move, it feels like I'm being stabbed with a poisoned dagger. But, I would get stabbed a thousand time, over, just to see that you and everyone I care for lives, and they are safe. I would go to the ends of the galaxy for this little ragtag family I've created. I would die for them, and you… I know that if I don't get treated for this and soon, I'll die. If I die, I know that it will all be worth it. For everything…" Winter smiled. She had said all that had needed to be said. She glared at Admiral Aquare. "Did you hear that? I'm not scared of death. I faced it many times, and while I was alone. These struggles, have made me stronger than you'll ever be…" Winter ran her finger across Admiral Aquare's face, leaving a trail of ice. "It burns doesn't it? It pricks your skin, bites your flesh. I love it. Every. Single. Thing. It's home to me. It's love. I hope what it means to me, is harmful to you. I hope your blood freezes in your vein, your mind because like a block of ice, and your face freeze in agony. It would bring me joy…" Winter's side began to burn up more, and she felt increasingly weak. She knew she was fading. She smiled though. Just the thought of saving her makeshift family was enough.
