(Okay. To the morning? Should it be Saturday? Cause I'm really confused.)
(Okay. To the morning? Should it be Saturday? Cause I'm really confused.)
//Wednesday morning
(Whatever's fine with me)
//ok
Bob walked downstairs, fully dressed for work, and checked his watch. “Thirty minutes until I have to leave. Perfect,” he muttered to himself.
Lucas came downstairs, dressed in his typical red and yellow striped shirt, paired with jeans. He sat down at the kitchen table and sipped his orange juice while finishing up his homework.
“Have you gotten a good handle on algebra now?” Bob asked Lucas, stirring creamer into his coffee.
"Meh… I still don't know why they're teaching us this now. I mean, this is middle school stuff! Isn't it? I'm only in third grade! I'm not that smart, am I?" Lucas tapped his pencil on the paper.
“Well, to be fair, it’s the basic stuff,” Bob reasoned. “And it’s just this lesson, right? They’re just introducing the concept.”
"Maybe… oh well. That'll have to do." Lucas shoved his paper into his backpack and grabbed a piece of toast on his way out. "Bye, dad! See you after school!"
“See you!”
Kaly woke up with a start. "I'm gonna be late!"
Kaly woke up with a start. "I'm gonna be late!"
Bob made himself coffee.
Kaly threw her stuff together with the help of her power and hurried downstairs
(Should we time skip to after school? That is, unless you want something to happen at school)
(Sure. Bob could pick them up. Honestly, just like in the first movie.)
(Yeah, sure. Do you want me to go, or…?)
(Whatever is fine with you.)
(Okay)
Lucas walked out of the school, looking flustered with the tips of his hair singed. He had gotten excessively frustrated and almost gave away his powers, and it was really stressing him out. It tormented him as he sat on the bench and waited for his father to come pick him up. Did someone see? Did I give it all away? He was on the verge of panicking, really. No one would ever look at him the same way. They would hate him; his family would hate him.
Kaly didn't come and sit beside Lucas like she usually did. Instead, she was out behind the school, in the student parking lot.
( @TurtleOfFreedom ?)
(I don't think that they're on rn)
(Yeah, probably not)
(We'll have to wait….)
(Yep. I could have Lucas find Kaly if you want?)
(Okay, that's cool!)
(Cool cool)
Where's Kaly? She's usually here by now… Lucas stood up to look for her, unable to keep still anyways. "Kaly?" He called out, walking around the side of the school.
Kaly laughed shyly as a boy put his arms around her waist and pulled her closer.
"Sorry that I had to get off FaceTiming last night," she whispered. "I didn't want to lose my phone, because I thought that we wouldn't get to talk anymore."
"It's fine," he remarked as he backed her into a wall and kissed her slowly. She wrapped her arms around his neck and embraced his touch.
Lucas spotted Kaly with a boy he didn't recognize and stepped back. He couldn't decided whether he was startled or angry, or perhaps both, but either way his hair was smoking again. His hands flickered as he slowly walked backwards along the side of the school, trying to keep anything and everything from catching fire. His clothes, hair, and hands all seemed to be smoldering.
Kaly laughed as the boy's hands rubbed her back slowly. "I love you."
"I love you more."
"I love you the most."
Their lips pulled away and their foreheads touched gently. They whispered things to each other, niether of them noticing Lucas yet.
