"I don't think dragon saliva will do the wound any favors. Unless it has hidden healing properties." Sia said, sitting down next to them.

"It- it scabbed over." Gij poked it, and Sobex yapped.

"Okay." She gently peeled off the leaves. "It definitely looks better." She started to apply the slave to the wound.

Sobex wiggled forward and started attempting to lick his wounds, but Gij pushed him away.
"Thanks for caring pal, but I think we should let the body do its own work."

Sia started applying new bandages. "Scabs are natural bandaids Soby. We don't want to mess with them."

Sobex wiggled forward again, sticking out his forked tongue.
"Sobex, no." Gij growled firmly and picked him up.

As Sia finished with the bandages, her mind turned back to the face she thought she had seen. "Do you think anyone spotted us climbing up yesterday?" She asked.

"No, they all ran past. They were intent on finding me running down the sidewalk; they don't think I'm that smart. They're right. I'm an idiot."

"You aren't an idiot. Mostly." Sia insisted, sitting back.

Gij rolled his eyes and grinned a little. "Thanks." He let Sobex down, who sloppily flew around the apartment.

"Careful Soby." Sia said, smiling. She turned back to Gij. "So what should we do now?"

"I dunno." Gij watched Sobex fly around, occasionally land and hop back up into the air. "It's your apartment, so you choose."

Sia shrugged. "I've got chess, checkers, and a card deck if you're interested."

"We could play some card games, I guess." Gij sat up and looked at her.

"Okay!" She got up and found the card set in a side table. "What games do you know?"

"Uh… We used to play War all the time." He took the deck and started shuffling the cards. "Do you know how to play it?"

"Nope. I know Spit, Trash, Slapjack, and Egyptian Ratslap. I can learn War if that's what you want to play. I catch on quickly."

"Yeah, it's really easy. So it's basically power of numbers. Like, the King is strongest, then the Queen, then the ace, then the jack and all of the numbers are in order. You have to overpower me with one card at a time. So let's say you pull an ace and I a seven of hearts. You would win and take my card as a reward. Then whoever takes all of each other's cards first wins!"

"Cool!" Sia sat down next to him. "You want to shuffle the cards, or should I?"

"I already am! Here's your seven… here's mine. Okay, so choose a card and set it down face down. On my count of one, we'll flip."

"Okay." She set down a card.
