"Of course," He nodded in a agreement and followed her.
Abby put away her phone. At least through texting, Tara couldn't see the heartbroken, dismayed look on her face.
(BUT WHY?!)
(… I am a mean author…)
(Stahp.)
Tara watched the cars to by as she waited to cross the street.
"Daddy daddy! Look at what I found!!" Six year old Tara squealed, running up to her dad.
"What did you find Princess?" Her dad laughed.
"It's a stone that looks like a heart!!" Tara out it excitedly into her father's open palm.
"That's so cool Tara! Why don't we make it into a nice bracelet for you…"
Tara subconsciously fingered her bracelet, a simple rope with a small and glittery heart stone tried into it.

(Your welcome :)
Tara watched the cars to by as she waited to cross the street.
"Daddy daddy! Look at what I found!!" Six year old Tara squealed, running up to her dad.

"Pretty bracelet," Darren said suddenly.
Tara jumped. "Ah, thanks. I've had it for about fifteen years now."
"Fifteen, wow," Darren enthused.
"Yeah, my dad made it for me after I found the rock at the beach." Tara laughed softly. "You'd have thought my dad gave me a castle, the way I was acting."
Abby put the papers on the counter and walked to the other wing of the building, as far from the dolphins as possible.
"That's cute," Darren smirked a little but didn't muster a full smile.
Tara bumped Darren lightly in the shoulder with hers. "You're…..not looking too happy Darren, what's up?"
"Huh?" Darren shook his head, "Oh, it's nothing. Tired I guess,"
Tara didn't believe him, but dropped it for the time being. "Arighty sleepyhead. Let's go back to work so you can go home early and rest." She said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him across the street.
Darren kept a light smile on his face for her and allowed himself to be dragged after her.
When Tara reached the other side of the street, she kept walking, though she didn't let go of Darren's hand.
Darren squeezed her hand lightly, he enjoyed the contact. "Work," He sighed.
Tara laughed. "Work is fun. Work is good. You get paid. You get to eat and keep your house!" She said randomly.
"I like work! One of my co-workers is really cute,"
Tara snickered. "Mhm, and who might this co-worker of yours be?"
"Uhh, I don't know if you know her, but I met her on my first day,"
