"So anyway," Ari randomly said and looked at Zackary, "Where were we…?"
"No-not now." Zackary turned red in the ears and looked away.

North smirked and got up, slowly backing out of the room. "Please, continue." She laughed.

Zackary glared at her. "No, we will not continue!"
Ari huffed. "Fine."
"Don't… fine me!"

North raised her eyebrows. "You two are..delightful." She said sarcastically, still smiling.

Ari smiled. "Thank you!"
Zackary rolled his eyes.

North walked into the kitchen, grabbing an apple and sitting down at the table.

"What are you watching?"
"I dunno, I was waiting for you to come home."
"What'd you think I was doing?"
"Guardian stuff."

North sat back and listened to their conversation.

"If it were Guardian stuff I'd be a lot longer than a few minutes."
Ari sighed. "I hate the fact that you're a Guardian. It's petrifying, especially when you're gone for long periods."
"I know, but it's a family thing, we have to."

North stuck her head in the living room. "What's a Guardian?"

Ari twitched and Zackary looked over. "A Guardian is exactly what it sounds like. They or I and a couple others, defend the Universe."

"Defend the Universe..I didn't know you were that important."

Zackary shrugged. "I'm one of the first Demon Guardians. And it's passed down in my family. My mum was one. My brother is too."

"Fun, fun. What are you defending it from?"

"All kinds of stuff. Worms, dips, other demons… all kinds."

"Ahh. It's getting late I really should go back. But thank you so much."

Zackary nodded and rose. "Alright."

"Bye Ari."

"See you North!"

North walked back to the mansion, yawning a bit.

It was later there, so everyone was probably asleep.

North went up to her room and changed into some pajamas. She wasn't tired though, so she grabbed her book and went up to the observatory, where she accidentally fell asleep.

She woke up in her bed the next morning. Strange, that's never happened to her.

North sat up and winced, she had a terrible headache. She stumbled out of bed, got dressed, and pulled her hair up into a bun.

She smelt breakfast from the kitchen. Mmmm….

She walked downstairs into the kitchen, her head still throbbing.
