"H-how long has Lupus been w-with you?" Riverpaw glanced at the other pups.
"H-how long has Lupus been w-with you?" Riverpaw glanced at the other pups.
“Ever since I got to this forest.” I mumbled.
"Y-you mean, you don't even l-live in the forest? How l-long have you been here then?'
“Yeah, I don’t live here. It’s only been about two weeks.”
Riverpaw hummed, resting her head on her paws and looking out at the forest again.
I raised my head and looked at Riverpaw for a second. I wonder what she’s thinking right now. I shifted into a different position before putting my head down and closing my eyes.
My head started to hurt and I felt a little dizzy. I got up and stumbled out into the woods. “I need fresh air…” I groaned.
Riverpaw's ear twitched and she watched Sofie leave the tree.
(LUPUS where r u?….)
I know I’ve had this feeling before… But where and when and why? I sat down and looked up at the stars.
(SORRY SCHOOL STARTED TODAY)
Sofie's sudden movement woke Lupus, and he lifted his head, flicking an ear. Where's she going? He cast a glance at Riverpaw before standing up and walking out to sit beside Sofie in silence.
I looked at my paws when Lupus approached, still confused about my deja vu (I think that’s how it’s spelled ;-; ).
Suddenly the ground shook, only slightly. A nearby plant the size of a beetle was uprooted, but other than that, everything was fine. I stood up, becoming even more confused.
Lupus stared at the plant with a confused expression, walking over to it and sniffing it curiously. "What the…?"
Riverpaw peeked out of the tree, looking around before going to stand next to Sofie. "W-what's wrong?" She asked, watching Lupus.
"This plant, it just… uprooted itself for no reason. No wind, earth tremors… nothing! Don't you think that's a tad strange?"
She tilted her head at the plant, then looked at her paws. How did…n-no, I didn't do that. "I-it just..came up? No-one touched it?"
Lupus shook his head. "The only one that did it as well. " He nudged the plant with his paw.
“Well, actually,” I said, touching the plant lightly, “There was a mini earthquake.” (Hey guys Ima change the rules a tad bit. You can have as many powers as you want. Phew! Now my character is back to full strength!)
(neato)
"Y-yeah, I-I felt something weird in the ground, but that's..u-usually normal for me." Riverpaw nodded. "W-what do you think happened?"
“It could have been a normal tremor. But something could have caused it.” I looked up worriedly from the plant. Maybe this is why I suddenly felt dizzy?
(You know the disaster I talked about in the description? Soon…. Soon… 😈)
(oh hecc)
(XD It’s actually happening right now, basically… oh well. Sorry little weed that I killed you XD)
Lupus gently picked up the plant and set it back where it belonged, pushing dirt back over it with his paws. "There… I hope it's still alive, at least."
Riverpaw slowly walked over, sitting next to the plant. She leaned down and nudged it with her nose, the leaves glowing a dim green. She then moved back and rested her head on her paws, glancing up at Lupus. "I think i-it'll be okay."
Lupus stared curiously at the plant, nudging it with his nose. It seemed to be sturdy enough. "Sofie… is it safe here? What with the tremor and strange things happening… is there something more serious going on?"
I looked at Lupus for a moment. “I-I’m not sure,” I turned my head towards the trees, “I think something big is about to happen. That headache I had couldn’t have been a coincidence. This forest is… different. I might dare say magical. There are creatures here I haven’t seen before and plants too. I’m sure this isn’t normal, the weed would have been able to withstand that miniquake. Oh, I don’t even know what to think anymore.” I turned back to Lupus.
"Mm… I mean, I just recently discovered I have powers. Albeit weak, they're there. This forest definitely has some magic in it, I just know it. I feel a great sense of foreboding. Should we try and escape before it happens?"
“I think one, we wouldn’t make it in time, and two…” I paused, pressing my paw harder to the ground. I could feel the tension beneath the surface, “Two…” It was hard to bring myself to say it, I didn’t want to believe it was true, “It’s already too late.” (DUN DUN DUN WAT DID I SAY? DISASTER…!)
