Mackenzie walked over to Ellis and sat down beside him." 'Nana?" She asked as she held up a banana for him, eating her own.

He gratefully accepted, "Thanks, " he replied, mashing a bite of the fruit. He spoke with food still in his mouth, "Did you know that avocados are poisonous to birds?"

With a gasp, Macha’s eyes flew open.

Mackenzie looked thoughtful for a minute. "No, I din't. Tats cool. And weiwd."

He frowned a little, and shrugged. "I can eat avocados. I like guacamole the most," he told her. "Do you know what that is?"

"Umm…………." Mackenzie drummed her fingers against her cheeks while she thought. "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh……………No."

"My birthday is today," Ellis added out of the blue. "i wanna cowboy hat. Like Indiana Jones." He grinned.

“Macha?” Sky asked tentatively, still holding her Hand.

Mackenzie gasped. "Ooh! Happy birfday!!!!"

He blinked, and his expression lit up, "Thank you!"

"Okay, if you say so," Zander said, kissing her forehead again." I hope you don't feel I'm overbearing about it."

Dani smiled. "No. You're fine. I just have to get used to it."

Macha sat up, gasping. Her gaze was cloudy, she could barely make anything out, and her skin felt… warm. “Where am I?”, she croaked.

"You are in the hospital wing." Sky answered.

Blake snored lightly, his wings twitching and, occasionally, flapping in his slumber. He had his arms securely wrapped around Ace, mumbling incoherently.

Mackenzie smiled at Ellis. "You'we wewcome!"

He held his smile, as he snacked on the banana.

Ace smiled, patted Blake's arm, and went back to viewing his show.

Blake stirred slightly at Ace's touch. His eyes opened weakly, misted over with exhaustion. "Ace?" He croaked, stretching his wings uncomfortably.

"Hello Blake." Ace ruffled his hair, "Nice to see you're awake." he yanked off all the wires in his arm and then got off the bed, "The doctor said I should stay for one more day, but honestly, I'm fine." he walked over to Blake's side of the bed. "I wish they'd give me a shirt."

"Ace!" Blake whined, still half asleep. "Don't pull out the wires, man!" He complained, sitting up and fussing over his friend.

"I stopped bleeding!" Ace walked over to a table and grabbed the glasses that were displayed there, "They tested my eyesight and found I needed +2.0 vision glasses." he put them on, "Peter says I look sexy with my glasses on." then his face fell and he sat on top of Blake's legs, near the bottom of the bed, "I was going a little crazy earlier, you can just forget what I said. The blood thing..It was just the morphine talking. I didn't actually.." Ace's grin faded, "Anyway, I'm going to go see Macha. Wanna come with?"

Blake nodded, but said nothing else, his face grim. He had a feeling Ace had been speaking the truth back there, under morphine or not. He slowly got out of the hospital bed and followed at Ace's heels.
