A few minutes passed and M shut his book.
"You should get to bed, North. You can take the book if you'd like." He sounded somewhat tired himself.
A few minutes passed and M shut his book.
"You should get to bed, North. You can take the book if you'd like." He sounded somewhat tired himself.
"It's okay.." She mumbled. "I'll just stay here…"
M grabbed Pax and rose. "No, go to bed." He walked over and nudged her.
"No, i'm almost finished with this, then i'll go."
"No, knowing you and your mother, you'll just pick up another. Come on…" He nudged her again.
North laughed softly, "I promise."
"Nahp. Come on." He nudged her again. "If you don't I'll start using my foot."
North shifted into a fly and appeared at the other end of the room. "I can handle myself, go to bed."
M glared at her. "Clearly not," He said in a laborious voice, suggesting he was joking. "I'll be down in thirty minutes. And if you're not upstairs I'm gonna carry you upstairs.
North nodded slightly and continued reading.
Half an hour later she had finished her book and was gazing up at starry sky through the window, humming quietly to herself.
"I thought I told you to go to bed." M's drawling voice purred from a squishy armchair. He flicked on a lamp.
"I know..but i'm not tired. And anyway, the night is so much prettier than the day.." She said quietly, still looking through the window.
"I suppose it is, but it's a much better view in the astronomy tower. I would expect you to be up there once you saw it."
"Well then, i'll be heading up there I guess." She said, getting up and walking towards the library doors.
M stood and followed her. "Do you know where it is?"
She turned to look at him. "No I don't. Can you show me?"
M rolled his eyes for like, the third time that day, and led her up the steps, to the attic, and even farther up. The astronomy tower was at the top of a flight of steps, it was really tiring, but oh so worth it when they got to the top.
North looked up in awe at the sky above her. "It's so beautiful.." She said laying down on her back.
M put his hands in his pockets and looked up, the star and moonshine raining down on his face. It gave him a weird silver tint since he was so pale, and it turned his black hair a gray; making him look a lot older.
(gtg sorry idk if ill be back but i definitely will be tomorrow)

(dont expect me to be here for long)
North sighed contentedly from her place on the floor.
(ok)
M sat down next to her and curled his legs into his body.
"I could be content laying here for the rest of my life." She said quietly almost to herself.
M grinned a little. "So could I. But, don't fall asleep up here. It can get really cold."
"Ok. No problem."
M nodded and pointed up at a star. "I named that one Orthemium."
North smiled and tilted her head slightly. "How do you know which one it is?"
