"You got it?" He asked, quickly exiting the booth and offering a hand.

She nodded and stepped carefully away from the table.

"Okay," He carefully hovered close to her, just in case.

She waited patiently while he paid, though her feet really were starting to hurt.

"Thank you," He said to the bartender. He turned to his wife, "Let's get home."

She nodded. "Okay." She nubbed after him to the car.

They got to the car and Razin went around to the passenger's side, opening the door for Lil.

She kissed his cheek and sat down heavily in the seat. "Thanks." She buckled the seat.

"Not a problem," He said, shutting the door before getting into the driver's side. He buckled the seat.

Lil sat back comfortably and burped. "That was fantastic."

He chuckled, "Yeah, I need a nap now though."

Lil nodded. "Too right."

He started the car and began the drive home.

Lil half-closed her eyes, feeling warm and sleepy.

The trip home was in a comfortable silence. "We're home," Razin said softly, parking in the space.

"Hmm? Oh, so we are." She got out on her own, but with slight difficulty.

He got out, locked the car and opened the house door before doubling back to help Lil.

Lil pawed him away. "I'm fine!" She kicked off her second shoe and started nubbing up the steps.

He slipped off his shoes before following her up the stairs.

She walked up to the top floor and laid down on their bed when she reached it, sighing gently.

He flopped down next to her, burying his face in the pillow.

Lil curled up in the sheets and shut her eyes. Warm…

"Night," He mumbled, letting sleep take over him.

"Night…" She too drifted off.
