Zander pulled the food out of the microwave and pulled out the silverware. Then he pulled out a couple of water bottles and put them in his pockets. After Zander made sure he had everything he picked up the plate and carried it over to Dani, remembering he had to replenish his supply of adrenaline. Zander groaned, and made up his mind to go to the hospital later on.

Zander returned, and after he sat down, she glanced quickly at Dani and got up. "I.. am going.. for a walk. I will be back later.." she trailed off, going towards the door.

Blake watched Ace sleeping peacefully. Doctors and nurses had come by and, under Blake's watchful eye, had hooked up all kinds of monitors and things to Ace. The only one Blake recognised was an IV, which he'd had before. It seemed like ages ago now, but in reality it'd only been a few weeks since he'd woken up in the hospital. What could could remember wasn't pleasant. He could still feel the sharp cut of Commander Ryder's rings on his cheek. It'd scarred now, leaving three small, jagged white lines. He was drugged most of the time and when he wasn't, he was fighting. Blake shook his head to clear his memory. But one final, haunting thought came back to him. If I'm not a soldier, who am I?

Ace woke with a start, yanking a bunch of wires from his hand, "Blake?" he called out, unsure if the blurry face in front of him was Blake or just a nurse.

"Ace!" Blake snapped out of his thoughts and scrambled to his brother's side, biting his lip with worry. "Quit pulling out the wires." Blake grumbled as a nurse already rushed by the start reattaching them.
