Once, a baritone player snapped to attention too fast and his mouthpiece flew off and landed almost exactly at the band director's feet… he just looked at the baritone in disappointment.

This wasn't marching band but the director at my old school band told us there used to be someone (he graduated) who used to take out the water storage tray in their tuba and drink it in front of all the girls.

I never had to see it but there was something called Swan River Colony (there's a river called Swan River where I live) where the brass empty their water (this is still at my old school, no idea what the new one is like)

One time I was crossing the street and my flute case popped open spilling my flute every which way so I had to risk my life to save my head joint from getting run over
