Vin put the car into park and crossed his arms. Who knew.
Vin put the car into park and crossed his arms. Who knew.
Vien got out of the car, accidentally slamming the door behind him as he walked quickly towards the house. He let out a sharp sigh, unlocking the door quickly before stepping inside
Vin glanced after him. Does he think I'm mad at him?
Vien returned a few minutes later with the items for the lava cakes in a small tote bag. He had also stashed a bottle of vodka inside, just for the fact that he would probably need a drink
Vin looked at him as he entered. "I'm not mad at you, y'know. I'm sorry I brought it up. It was really tactless of me."
"It's fine," Vien said dryly, buckling in and setting the tote at his feet
Vin noticed the dryness and decided to drop it. The sooner they got back and with their pets the better. He started driving.
Vien looked out the window, gnawing the inside of his cheek anxiously as he watched the world go by
The radio was static so Vin turned the radio off quietly, and drove a little faster.
Vien glanced down at the items in the tote bag, going through them for the third time to make sure that he had everything
Vin pulled into his driveway and collected the bags from the farmer's market in silence.
"Here, let me help you," Vien insisted, forcefully willing his tics not to show as he walked over to the bags. He grabbed a few before walking towards the house
Vin shook his head and took them back. "It's alright." He tugged out his keys and unlocked the door.
Of course, that just sent Vien's mind into a fit of self loathing. Why was he being so horrible? Why was he making Vin put up with him? He could feel his anxiety spiking, though he hid it easily as he walked through the door
Vin took his shoes off, heavily disliking the silence. I'm so tactless… Dammit, I just screwed him back up again, I know it.
Vien set the bags on the counter. taking a deep breath before turning to Vin. "I'm sorry for making you angry with me again," he said, his voice growing quieter the more he spoke
Vin shook his head. "I'm not mad at you. I understand and I thought it over… I shouldn't have overreacted." He set his bags down and hugged him. "I'm not mad at you. It's how you stayed alive and it's how you're here."
Vien let out a sigh of relief. "I…I'm sorry. I keep making you upset, and I'm really t-trying not to, but I keep doing it. I…I just don't want to hurt you," he mumbled
"I was just asking stupid questions. I don't blame you at all. You're not going to hurt me, as long as you don't get caught killing." He squeezed him and shoved his face into his hair. "Thanks for telling me, actually."
"You're…welcome," Vien said slowly, wrapping his arms loosely around Vin's waist. He let out a sigh, his head falling into the crook of the other's neck
Vin kissed the top of his head and squeezed him a little.
"I love you."
"I love you too," Vien mumbled before pressing a firm kiss to Vin's forehead. "Now, how about we make this food?" he asked with a small smile
"Sure, but are you feeling any better? I'm not getting distracted 'till you feel better."
"Love, I feel terrible constantly, except for when I'm with you," Vien hummed before pressing another kiss to the side of Vin's head
Vin let him go. "If you say so. Let's get cooking." He smiled a little.
At the mention of cooking Baal ran into the kitchen excitedly. Vien laughed, scooping him up off the floor and placing him on the counter. "Someone wants his food," he chuckled
Ruby scrambled in barking. "Hello, Ruby." Ruby hopped up on her hind paws sniffing at Baal and whining gently.
Vien smiled at Ruby while Baal yapped. "Looks like they've been getting along well," he hummed before turning to Baal. "Okay, you remember how to help cook, right?" he asked the dragon, who gave him a sort of "of course I do" look
(I shiiiip Baal and Ruby i'm disgustijnnggnng)
Vin grabbed Vien an apron and handed it to him. "I don't think I should cook with you." He looked down at Ruby and hoisted her off of Vien.
(Oh my god lmao)
“That’s alright. Just go sit and make yourself comfortable, Baal and I have everything covered,” he assured him
