Lillian leaned against him. She liked the warmth he had. Others may not be mad, but she was. She let her friend die, that wasn't okay. Even in her numbed state she knew this much, "Me."

Ryan stood up and walked down the stairs, when he came back he was holding a red liquid filled bag. "Eat. Now." he tossed the bag into her lap.

"Geez, you couldn't be more blunt about it." She chuckled, quickly draining the bag. Not because she really wanted to, but so he wouldn't keep bugging her about it.

Lillian shook her head, "Don't care. Paige shouldn't be not life."

English is a language I don't understand but this is bad even to me. Give her a chance. "I know you don't think so but she couldn't live forever, some people die and that is hard but I think we villainize death too much."

"Thanks," he looked weak but the color was still in the atmosphere, the scratches on his back were bringing him down, they came from the sword of an Oni that he had gotten in a fight for his life, they knew who had Void and they were looking. The cuts from their swords didn't heal until the darkness was found.

She progresses like a child after breaking down. She'll get better as time progress, sticks tongue out "Death is fine. Paige's death not fine. It would happen. But it shouldn't happen. It was too early."
