Vin rose too and let him go. "Okay. What're you planning to make?"
Vin rose too and let him go. "Okay. What're you planning to make?"
"Um…Well, I guess I could make eggplant parmesan," Vien suggested with a shrug. He ran a hand through his messy hair, the dragon at his feet yapping happily at the sound of food
"I thought we were gonna make some dessert? Plus, I don't have any eggplant."
"Well, um. Baal likes eggplant, which might be a problem," Vien chuckled, a hand rubbing at the back of his neck awkwardly while the dragon, Baal, yapped. "But maybe we could do lava cakes?"
"We could run out to the market and get some eggplant." He looked down at Baal, liking it more and more.
At that Baal began turning circles and yapping excitedly while Vien chuckled. "That would be nice. I can only keep Baal here for so long without him taking energy from other things, and he'd probably give me grief if I sent him back so soon."
"Okay, then we'll do that." Vin nodded and grabbed his keys. "Let us go."
Vien nodded, walking after him while Baal ran off to make himself comfortable on the couch
Ruby barked and hopped up on the couch after Baal and sniffed him curiously.
Vin put his shoes on while humming quietly.
Vien tapped his foot absently before turning to Baal. "Don't eat the dog, okay?" he told the dragon, who yapped in acknowledgement before turning to nuzzle the dog
Ruby barked happily and licked his head.
(Sorry for the slow responses, WiFi is acting up)
Baal made a sort of purring noise as he flopped onto the dog. Vien chuckled before turning to Vin. “Ready?”
Ruby borked happily again as Vin nodded.
Vien walked out the door, giving Baal a quick wave as he did so
Vin followed him and got into the car. "Alright, so do you want to go to the Farmer's Market or… Walmart?"
“Farmer’s market,” Vien answered as he got into the car and buckled in
"Alrighty then." He started the car and began driving.
Vien tapped his fingers absently on his knee as he stared out the window
It was too awkward in that car to exist, as they stopped at a light.
Vien, feeling anxious in the silence, reached over and turned on the radio
Vin glanced over and started driving again. "So what else should we get? I've never had lava cakes before."
“Well, we’ll need chocolate of course. And dishes for the cakes. But if you want we can just run back to my house since I already have the ingredients there.”
"Yeah, but what about fresh eggplant? We'll just stop by the market."
“Okay, we can get eggplant and then go to my place,” Vien said with a shrug
"Okay." They arrive at the market and buy more than just eggplant, and get back into the car laden with caramels, fresh fruits, veggies and other yummy desserts.
Vien felt a little bad for having Vin buy all the desserts, but he also was very happy they did. "My house next?" he asked as he got into the car
"Yeah, I suppose." Vin sounded happier as he popped a caramel in his mouth and started the car.
Vien reached over, grabbing a caramel and eating it as well as they drove
"Mmm, these are good," Vin said thickly as he crossed into a crossroad.
(I'm going to bed. Night!)
(night)
Vien nodded in agreement before reaching over and popping another in his mouth. "At my old house we used to go to farmers' markets all the time. My siblings and I were always the ones to run after the sweets."
