Ana laughed lightly and left the two boys alone, walking downstaires to see Camilla

Pluto didn't seem to realize that Beau had approached him, sitting perfectly still. His eyes flitted back and forth, drawing in information and details from outside the window. He remained silent.

Beau sat down next to Pluto, bringing his longer legs into a cross-legged position as he glanced over at the younger boy. "What are you up to, kiddo?" He asked, tilting his head to the side curiously as he studied the owl for a few moments.

Kai wandered through the hallway, his brows lowered. Should he have yelled at Pluto like that? Nah, probably not. But he wasn't about to fix it, either. After all, the kid stole his socks. So caught up in his thoughts, he almost ran into one of his siblings. (anyone who wants to talk to Kai lol)

(Lol Venus can.)

Venus moved quickly out of the way, "Woah Kai. What's up?"

"Nothing," he said, scowling. "What's up with you?"

Venus looked at her nails, "Umm nothing? I was just concerned? Like an older sister should be?"

"Hmm?" Pluto glanced over at Beau before turning back to the window. "Nothing, really. I just spotted the owl and was intrigued." His voice was soft and quiet, almost echoey. It had always been that way, and was rarely heard by anyone other than Beau. Even so, Pluto didn't speak much. He had a lot going on in his mind, but none of it was ever expressed audibly. He stayed out of other people's business.

Kai glared at her for another few moments before his face finally relaxed. "Okay, whatever." He shrugged. "I was pissed at Pluto for going through my stuff."

Venus pinched her nose, "Are you sure it was Pluto? Like a hundred percent positive?"

"I mean, probably?" Kai glanced at the ceiling. "If he didn't do it, why'd he run? Plus, I caught him in my room yesterday."

Venus let out a long sigh, "Pluto wouldn't do that. He's too," she paused for a second, "shy. He runs from anyone who looks mad or angry. Besides if you cashed him I doubt that sent the right message."

"Maybe." His shoulders slouched. "I'm not really mad anymore. I was late for school, but I'm just gonna skip today, why not? Since I can't find my damn socks." He mentally crossed his fingers that Venus wouldn't tell on him. He just wasn't in the mood for school today.

"I heard that Kai. You aren't skipping!" she called from the kitchen

"Oh really? Skipping school," Venus thought for a second, "You might want to hide then."

Kai flinched. "Yep. I need to hide."

Venius smiled, "Well you better go do it then."

((Okay))

Nova stood in the middle of her room, happily hula hooping as music blasted in her ears, singing along. "We could be Immoooooooral, Immortals!"

Kai gave Venus a tight-lipped smirk before he headed into his room, closing the door and locking it. All he needed to do was stay quiet, and hopefully his mom wouldn't notice he hadn't left for school.

Soon school time arrived and she was about to do rolecall until she noticed something missing

Venus was there and waiting.

Pluto stood at the end of the line, per usual, with his overlarge backpack hanging loosely from his shoulders. Kai's not here… surely he's not stupid enough to think mother wouldn't notice?

Nova stood quietly, fake coughing.
