“Either you’re visiting a grave, making a grave or you’re the body underneath the grave you’re sitting on.” Liam said, “But- no, yes. You don’t look like a living person, so.. it has to be the the third but ghosts don’t exist.”
“Either you’re visiting a grave, making a grave or you’re the body underneath the grave you’re sitting on.” Liam said, “But- no, yes. You don’t look like a living person, so.. it has to be the the third but ghosts don’t exist.”
"That's what my host said when I first met him," Cyprus said with a roll of his eyes. "But yes, three cheers for you. I'm the body beneath the grave."
“How? Ghosts aren’t real.” Liam said cocking his head to one side. He still half believed this was a dream.
"They are, they're just usually confined to items, areas, that sort of thing. I just happen to be able to roam free of my own accord," Cyprus said
“Oh well lucky you then.” He replied, still kind of bewildered about the whole encounter, “What happened to you? As I’m how did you die?”
"I was impaled," Cyprus said dryly. "I was protecting my kingdom from a rampaging spirit. You're currently standing on the graves of hundreds of thousands, buried far beneath your recent graves."
“I’m sorry to hear that, even if I don’t quite believe it. Sorry, what’s your name? I should have asked earlier.” He said, a slight smile on his lips.
"Prince Cyprus Lucelle," Cyprus responded, making a theatrical bow before returning to sitting atop the broken wall. He rested his head in the palm of one hand, eyes trailing across the other's frame
“Nice to meet you, Cyprus. I’m Liam.” He said, giving Cyprus a small bow but grinned when he came back up to look at him.
"At least you bowed. Most simpletons don't know how to do that much," Cyprus said, returning the grin with a small smile of his own
“Yeah well, you might be dead but you’re still royalty.” He said shrugging one shoulder.
"Damn right I am," Cyprus hummed, his smile growing a bit wider. "At least you show some respect. I can value a man who does so."
“It’s nothing, everyone should do so.” He said, looking down at his feet for a moment before his phone pinged. He frowned and took it out.
Cyprus tilted his head curiously as he watched Liam pull his phone out. "Is that one of those…cellular phones?" he asked slowly, trying to make sure he was saying it right
Liam nodded but didn’t look up, “Yep. And you can just call it a phone, no need for the cellular part.” He smiled a little and quickly sent a text message
Cyprus nodded slowly, still watching Liam curiously. "My host has one that looks sort of like that. He calls it a data pad."
Liam nodded and looked up at Cyprus, “Sorry I have to go. I can come back if you want me to or I can leave you alone, your choice.” He said, tilting his head to one side slightly.
"A regular visitor would be nice," Cyprus said, a small smile crossing his face. "Sunset tomorrow, eh?" he asked, legs swinging idly as he spoke
Liam nodded, returning the smile, “Sunset, see you tomorrow, majesty.” He said giving another bow and walking out of the clearing and back home.
Cyrus watched him leave with a small smile, letting his chin rest in the palm of one hand. "He called me majesty. No one calls me that anymore," he murmured to himself
Liam looked back over his shoulder and gave Cyprus a small wave before disappearing into the trees, a smile on his face.
(Should we skip to sunset?)
(sure)
Liam was running a little late but he couldn’t help it. He ran through the trees and to the clearing where he was to meet up with Cyprus again
Cyprus was waiting in the same spot, floating just a bit above the grave marker. He was growing faintly anxious, which was highly unlike him. Why was Liam late? Had something happened?
Liam quickly broke through the trees and waved at Cyprus, trying to catch his breath. He walked over to him, “Sorry, got held up with some stuff back at home.” He said, bowing once more.
"That's alright," Cyprus responded, moving to sit atop the grave marker like he usually did. He gave a small bow from on top of it, a small smile crossing his face. "But what was so important that you kept a prince of all people waiting?" he asked, his usual snark returning
Liam moved closer and sat down on the grass, leaning back on his hands, “Work stuff, I tried to get out of it, believe me but they needed me there. Late night rush.” He explained
"Where do you work? Food services?" Cyprus asked curiously, folding his legs beneath him as he propped his head up with one arm. "I've noticed most of this generation tends to work in food services."
Liam shook his head, “Surprisingly no. I work in a Target, which is only slightly better then food services.” He admitted, looking at Cyprus, “But it’sthe Only thing I can handle with collage as well.”
"College? What do you go to college for?" Cyprus continued to ask. He was a rather curious person, and being confined to his host's head most of the time didn't usually help with that fact
