"I suppose so," Vin said thoughtfully as he relaxed into his couch.
"I suppose so," Vin said thoughtfully as he relaxed into his couch.
Vien reached up, brushing a stray strand of hair away from Vin's face as he smiled softly. He said nothing before turning to watch the TV
Vin glanced down at him. "Why'd you do that?"
"Because I can," Vien hummed, still watching the TV. One hand moved off his chest, beginning to trace circles on Vin's knee absently
Vin's puppy came bounding over, happy after her meal. She wagged her tail and whined.
"Hey there," Vien murmured to the dog, his hand leaving Vin's knee to pet its head. "Wish I could have dogs in my apartment," he commented absently
She barked loudly again and whined, wagging her tail harder.
"What does it want from me?" Vien asked, laughing a little. "I don't speak dog, Vin. Help?"
"I think she wants to come up, but we're being too selfish. She's used to me being alone, after all." She barked again.
"Well, I guess I've got to listen to the dog then," Vien sighed, sitting up and scooting over so the dog could hop between them
She barked and hopped up, and leaned against Vin heavily, licking his face.
Vin chuckled. "Stop, now, or Vien'll get jealous."
"Yeah, I might get jealous," Vien repeated, faking a pout as he gave the dog a badly faked pout. He folded his arms across his chest with a "humph"
His dog borked again and continued licking Vin's face, as Vin grinned happily.
"You know, it's probably been licking its butt," Vien pointed out, grinning despite himself as he watched the dog practically try to eat Vin
"Yeah, you do the same, except maybe a little different," Vin smirked and pushed his dog's face away. "And it is a girl. Thank you."
Vien felt his face heat up a little at the comment, but hid it with a roll of his eyes. "Okay, she licks her butt. Happy?"
"Sure I am." She went back to licking his face. "There's a similarity between her and you, y'know."
"Well, you certainly weren't complaining last night," Vien shot back, a smirk crossing his face. "In fact, if I remember correctly, you were doing the exact opposite."
Vin grabbed his dog's ears gently, who looked around. "Not, not in front of the dog!" He turned a faint red around the ears and cleared his throat.
"The dog doesn't care, it has a brain half the size of my hand," Vien laughed, even holding his hand up to bap the side of the dog's head
The dog looked at him and barked loudly.
(might have to go in a bit)
Vien laughed, patting the dog's head before returning to his previous position. "I can't tell if she likes me or hates me."
(Okay. I was thinking about going soon anyway)
Vin laid down across the couch and threw his legs over Vien, as his dog dominated his chest. "I think she's just curious. I come home smelling like your bar, after all. Now I come home smelling like you."
"Well, that would make sense," Vien hummed. He glanced over at Vin before returning his attention to the dog. He held a hand out, wisps of starry black smoke curling around his fingers until they formed into a squeaky toy bone with the same pattern. He wiggled it in front of the dog's nose, grinning as he did so
She barked and sniffed it curiously. Vin looked awe-struck.
"Well, that was fuckin' cool."
His dog took the bone and squeezed it. It squeaked.
"Magic," Vien said, grinning as he did jazz hands. He tugged the bone from the dog before tossing it across the room, careful not to throw it anywhere he or the dog might break something
She barked and seemingly reluctantly got off of Vin's chest and scrambled over to get it. Vin inhaled deeply and watched her attack it.
Vien laughed a little, using the opportunity to shift closer to Vin. He turned to Vin, grinning as he made starry devil horns appear, which floated just above his head
Vin grinned and poked at one. "It's so weird but cool. I can't do stuff like that, and I'm a–"
"You're a what?" Vien asked curiously. "Are you a magician too?" he asked, now excited at the thought. Had Vin been a magician this whole time, and never told him?
