About 1.5 (20%) of them speak English.
And over 275 million people speak french, which I'm not fluent in, but I can get by, and if I was to go live in a french speaking country I could be fluent easily.
So that's like… a crap ton of ppl I could potentially communicate with and fall in love with.
But even if we narrow that down to people I meet? I've met thousands of people already, and I'm barely 18. I'll prob meet millions more. How do you choose 1 person out of a million? and trust that you've both made the right decision? How are there ppl making this decision when they're my age or barely older? (or younger in some cases I guess)

You don't. You don't choose, you meet them and whether you like it or not you start to develop feelings for them. Just chemicals in the brain. Maybe you get together, maybe it works out maybe it crashes and burns. But eventually you'll get over them and it will happen again. And then you decide that this person is good for you, and you want to stay with them.
But if you feel you're not capable of falling in love, maybe you're a-romantic.
