Ellis flopped his wings, hugging himself, "Yeah!" He wheezed.

(Dove woke up in a house. A really nice one, with ornate decorations and plush rug under her feet. There was only one source of light, a candle. This was Roman's doing. Of course. Dove walked around and then two arms came from behind, pulling her into a hug. "Dove. How nice to see you."
"I wish I could say the same," Dove drawled, breaking out of Roman's grasp.
Roman looked hurt, but then composed himself, "I need something." he extinguished the candle with his white-gloved fingers, leaving them in darkness, "And I'd pay you rather handsomely if you get it for me.")

(I'm waiting for @TiredOtter, but until then wanna hear about my character named Dove?)

Dani rubbed her thumb across Zander's hand comfortingly, knowing that he had lost a lot too.

"Insomnia? So like what do you do at night? We're not allowed to leave our bunks." Blake asked, obviously confused.

Mackenzie gave Dani a thumbs up to show her that she was fine.

Blake's eyes lit up with fascination. "You're a human book light?"

"I wish. No, I just have-" Ace coughed, blood dribbling a bit from the corner of his mouth until he wiped it away, "Have a tattoo booklight."

(I gtg for a bit, but @Nerd you have control of Blake for now, man. Take good care of him.)

Yay thx. Macha’s probably gonna be passed out for now, and you guys have control of her Papa as well)

Niki ran down the halls of the hospital wing, looking for Dani, not knowing that she had already been cleared. Then she saw a man cradling the unconscious figure of Macha in his arms. "Wha-what happened to her?" Niki asked.

Hand looked up, his face streaked with tears. “Help her, I beg you.”

Zander looked at the to kids playing and smiling as one of them flashed Dani a thumbs up.

"Ho-how? I can't help her if I don't know what happened!" Niki told the man.

Dani kissed Zander's forehead. She had nothing to say, so she just settled her head back on his shoulder.

“I—I don’t know! She was like this when I found her—please, get her somewhere safe, I beg you.”

Ellis scrambled up, squatting, and saying to Mackenzie, "I bet you can't beat me if I run to that guy!" He meant Zander, who he hadn't met yet.

Mackenzie squinted at Ellis. "Okay. Weady? Go!" And she ran for her cousin and the boy Ellis had pointed out.

Ellis scrambled off in a dash, wings flared.

"No problemo." Niki said, her Spanish accent becoming more defined. She gently picked up Macha and put her down on a bed in a hospital room. Then she called for a doctor.

Zander blinked and one second the kids were playing together the next they were both running at him. He sat straighter, startled.

Blake looked worried, "You okay?"
"Yeah, fine." Ace dismissed him with a wave of his hand.
