“I’ll vote as I did before,” Xander sighed, “I’m not going to choose who dies.”

Xander looked around. “Where’s Lixi?” He ran over to where she was hiding from the horrors. “Lixi,” he said, “Paige didn’t vote. We have to vote again.”

(Wait @payten17 did Paige vote? I am so lost.)
(Assuming she did, the votes would have been tied…if not, she would have been the one to die?)

(How about we do a simple (poorly written) recap for everyone’s sake?)

(John was really sad that Paige hadn’t voted and then he got angry because he and Xander said Jaige didn’t have much depth. John and Enzo verbally fought for a little bit, then John cut open his arms with a shard of a mirror. Since Paige didn’t vote, the system said she was going to die, and John was still bleeding out. The system said that everyone but John would vote to keep/not keep him alive because he got the most votes. John revealed he had voted for Enzo the first day then died (I’m kinda confused what going on now), and now Paige is dying (?))

(ohhh so John's dead now. I get it. Then what does the system mean about keeping him alive, @payten17??)

"I'm going to vote for John to live," Enzo said, looking over at Paige. She was dying. Somehow, the system thought that was fair. Hands shaking, he locked eyes with her. "I don't know what it will do. I don't understand any of this." I'm so sorry.

"I-I'm s-sorry," Paige whispered. She didn't have a speech planned out in her head like Odette did, but she had thought about it a little. "I… I was… I was naive."

Xander looked around. “Where’s Lixi?” He ran over to where she was hiding from the horrors. “Lixi,” he said, “Paige didn’t vote. We have to vote again.”

Lixi looked up in horror "Wait what?! That means it's just us and River!" She protested.

"I'm going to vote for John to live," Enzo said, looking over at Paige. She was dying. Somehow, the system thought that was fair. Hands shaking, he locked eyes with her. "I don't know what it will do. I don't understand any of this." I'm so sorry.

"I-I'm s-sorry," Paige whispered. She didn't have a speech planned out in her head like Odette did, but she had thought about it a little. "I… I was… I was naive."

"Shh, it's okay," Enzo said, crouching beside her. "Did you write a letter?"

Paige barely nodded, shifting her hand towards her pocket. A tear slipped down her face. "I'm s-sorry. I d-didnt know… know that h-he voted f-for you…" Her eyes shifted around in panic. "I'm sc-ared."

“That also means we’re close to the end,” Xander told her, “I think we may be able to get out alive.”

Paige barely nodded, shifting her hand towards her pocket. A tear slipped down her face. "I'm s-sorry. I d-didnt know… know that h-he voted f-for you…" Her eyes shifted around in panic. "I'm sc-ared."

"It's okay," he said again, smoothing her hair out of her face, trying to smile. "You didn't know. He fooled us all. It's not your fault."

"I didn't th-think," she whispered. She could feel it. She was about to die. She gripped Enzo's shirt tightly out of a sudden fear.

"I'm sorry I let this happen to you, carina," he whispered. "I'm so sorry."

Paige's lips opened to speak again, but her eyes glossed over and she fell limp against Enzo's chest. Her last breath was long and warm.

Enzo's face went blank. He forced himself not to think, not to feel. He retrieved both of their letters and looked around the suddenly emptier room.
