âI canât tell if youâre stalling or not,â he squinted.

"What if the moment we use the cure the nightmare comes back? What then?"
"It shouldn't⌠Logically that doesn't make sense,"
Lillian stopped when he said that. She really was worrying over nothing, "Sorry."
âHoney, you donât have to apologize. You havenât done anything wrong and even when you do I would always forgive you,â
"Oh right," Lillian looked away again. She was ashamed of herself for forgetting that.
"Well I can't start without knowing anything about it. I'm waiting for you to start explaining how we get it."

I was referring to your sister,â he groaned, âBut the Wolfsbane is born from Kitsune blood, thereâs a battle ground where the wolf war was fought, Kitsune blood was spilled there and I think 200 years is long enough for the shit to grow,â

Darren held her tight, he felt like no matter what he said or how kind hearted his nature, he was no help and he feared making matters worse so he simply hugged her tight.
"She's not going anywhere any time soon. I'm more worried about you. Now, where is this battleground? Should be easy enough to get to."
Lillian relaxed, into the hug. Her arms eventually making their way around him. A name flittered across her mind. She,felt a tear slip down her cheek, "I miss Paige."

âThe Japanese mafia has a building just out of town, behind a vault door youâll find one of those creepy garden things they keep underground. The most likely place to find the moss is the fountain in the middle of the battleground. A Thunder Kitsune was killed there,â
"Okay. Sounds simple enough. Looks like I've got a mission to go on. You stay here and don't do anything stupid." She practically leaped up, she hadn't been on a solo mission in too long. "I'll be back before you know it."
(Brb food)

Darren swallowed, the memory of every second flashed through his head until guilt struck him and a tear fell from his cheek, âMe too,â
"She would've gone to prom right? With Stormy," Lillian stated more than anything. She felt a sob begin to build, she hadn't stopled to think about her friend. She was an awful friend.
She didn't have her headphones, so she softly began to sing. "And you will never hear the wolf cry to blue corn moonâŚ"
The Oni grabbed her by the shoulder, his hand was made of the black smoke that surrounded his armor and his face just a metal mask.
Ginger gasped. She didn't have time to think or react. Her heart pounded. All she could manage to do was sputter, "Wh-Who are you?"
It didnât answer, it couldnât answer. It was silent, the essence of darkness personified into a warrior looming the town for the beast it desires to seek out. This wasnât it, he could sense it wasnât even worth checking for darkness here. Itâs hand slid behind her ear and a light burnin sensation began as he tattooed a small âSâ. Self. She was herself. She was not possessed by the beast he searched for.
Ginger flinched and looked at it. "What do you want?" She wanted to run but her legs were too heavy.
A light hand hovered over Lillian's shoulder. I'm here, she wanted to say. I've never left. But as a guardian angel, she was forbidden to speak. She just watched, tears in her eyes, her entire essence beaming with a light that they couldn't see.

Darren was soft, already sobbing, âYeah. She wouldâve looked amazing. Sheâs with us though.â
I am. I am. Without meaning to, a sob escaped her lips.
"Okay. Sounds simple enough. Looks like I've got a mission to go on. You stay here and don't do anything stupid." She practically leaped up, she hadn't been on a solo mission in too long. "I'll be back before you know it."
âAnd Iâll be hereâŚâŚ.. waitingâŚ..â Ryan sighed and laid back on the bed.
"I guess," Lillian felt the sob release, "I wish, I wish I could say sorry. For being such a bad friend."

âNot you,â itâs voice was deep and threatening but he meant no harm to her, âSelf,â
"I guess," Lillian felt the sob release, "I wish, I wish I could say sorry. For being such a bad friend."
âYou werenât bad. She loved you Lillian. Iâm the one that let her die because I cared more for myselfâŚ.â he choked on a sob, âSelfish,â

Ginger shook, very afraid now having heard its voice "Wh-What do you m-mean?"
"Stop!" The voice seemed to come from nothing, but something was there. She had spoken. She hadn't meant to, but her voice was unleashed again.
She kissed his forehead. "I love you." She bounded out of the house and towards the crumbling, mafia infested side of town.
"I guess," Lillian felt the sob release, "I wish, I wish I could say sorry. For being such a bad friend."

"You weren't selfish Darren," Lillian sighed as her face pressed his neck. She could hear the voice but thought it was in her head, "You did everything you could to help."
Welp. There was no turning back now. "Lillian⌠I was stupid. There was nothing that you could've done," Paige sighed. She was still invisible to them.
Lillian heard the voice again, okay so she was going crazy. Paige, Paige was dead.
"Here goes nothingâŚ" Paige muttered. She allowed Lillian and Darren to see her.
Lillian didn't want look up. She didn't want to be proven right. She was going crazy.
(The amount of silence that happens between replies here is concerning.)
(I literally forgot to reply lol.)
