"Half and half." He said, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Half and half." He said, a smile tugging at his lips.
"What does that mean?" Aubrey laughed, pulling her keys from her purse.
"Ah, so you get to be Miss Mysterious and I can't be?" He said, raising an eyebrow.
Aubrey shrugged. "I mean, if you were a woman you could be Miss Mysterious, but I think you would really be more of a Mister Mysterious," she teased as she unlocked her car.
He rolled his eyes, "You know what I meant."
Aubrey laughed and climbed into her seat. "C'mon, let's go!"
"Why can't you just tell me already?" He complained as they drove off.
"Because it's a surprise!" Aubrey exclaimed. "Just be patient!"
He sighed and lent his head on the back of the chair, "Fine."
Aubrey hummed quietly as they drove to the first place she was taking Liam. When they finally arrived, she parked the car in front of a small park. A few trees lined a path down the center of it, and benches were scattered around.
"Here's our first stop," she said softly, a smile tugging at the edges of her lips as she looked at the park.
"The park…" He said stepping out of the car and admiring the place.
"Yeah," Aubrey said, climbing out of the car. "You gonna come out?"
He rolled his eyes again and did the same
Aubrey shot him a grin. "Let's go sit over there," she said, pointing to a bench.
He followed and sat, trying to remember anything about this place, "Nothing is coming to mind…" He said, quietly.
Aubrey sat beside Liam and looked around the park for a moment before answering.
"We used to come here all the time as kids," she explained quietly. "See that swing set? I broke my arm from jumping off of it when I was ten."
Liam laughed a little, "Now I remember, I tried to stay in the hospital over night but my parents wouldn't let me."
"It was so sweet!" Aubrey exclaimed, grinning at Liam.
"Now it's just embarrassing." He said, smiling.
Aubrey laughed lightly. "Oh, come on. It was adorable!"
"No, no it wasn't. Okay, maybe a little." He admitted.
"Yeah. Just a little," Aubrey teased.
He nudged her with his elbow, "Didn't we have a school bake sale or something here?" Liam asked.
Aubrey nodded. "Do you remember how many cupcakes you sold? Because that was seriously impressive!"
He shook his head, "I can't remember that detail."
"200!!!" Aubrey giggled. "You sold 200 cupcakes!"
"Really? I should go into business not astronomy." He beamed.
Aubrey shook her head slowly. "You've always wanted to go into astronomy. It's been your dream for as long as I can remember. Never give up on it. Please," she asked softly.
"I won't, I promise." He replied.
"Good," Aubrey whispered. She didn't want to talk about why she felt so strongly about it. At least, not right now. Maybe later, when Liam had more of his memories back…
