"Really? I love cats!" Trinity rubbed her fingers together and Yawn came quickly, as did Lilac.

Asher couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face when Trinity laughed at the kitten. He quickly got himself back under control and said, "That's it!? You aren't going to roast or mock me or anything?!" He flinched a little, sounding really surprised.

Trinity wrinkled her nose. "No… why would I? I like it. It's cute." She froze for a second, afraid of how he would take it.

"You, you, what now!?" He rubbed the back of his neck, a slight flush rising to his face. "Goddammit Asher! Pull yourself together!!" "I-I've never gotten that reaction before.." His voice got the edgy tone back to it, trying to keep his emotions under control and hidden.

So Asher is a little mean demon boy who’s secretly a dork.

And we have two cats.

Trinity is a nervous and quiet butterfly.

Caire is this very sassy taco, she makes great comebacks.

Zeno is a sad bee.

Camilla is a bean sprout.

Oh and Trinity thought Asher was gonna eat her cat.

He couldn’t help the small laugh that escaped his throat. “Yeah, I guess it is good. A lot nicer, than you know, other things that could have been said..” His voice got quieter as he talked, starting to ramble. He crossed his arms defensively, trying to keep part of his intimidating act up, after failing to wipe the schoolgirl blush off his face, or the stutter in his voice.

Trinity noticed that he wasn't as fierce as he seemed. "So, um… I should… probably…" Her voice petered out slowly.

“Yeah. Whatever.” He leaned his back against the door frame and stared at the opposite wall, waiting for her to leave, trying to keep it as hidden as possible that in reality he wanted her, and the cat, to stay. When he thought she wasn’t looking, he glanced back at her, waiting for her decision.

She scooped up Yawn, but when she tried to get Lilac, the kitten ducked out of her reach. "Lilac, come on," Trinity whispered. "He doesn't want us here."

He gave a dramatic sigh, before shrugging, standing upright again, and going after the kitten. He bent over and snapped his fingers at her. To his luck, the kitten trotted over. He picked her up, gave her a scratch behind the ears, then held her out at Trinity. “Here,” he muttered.

Trinity cautiously took Lilac. "Um- Thank you."

“Yup.” His voice monotoned, face nothing but unreadable boredom. He spun around then walked back into his room. Before he closed the door, he asked, “Is that all you need?” There was more emotion in this statement, like he actually cared to hear.

"Uh… y-yeah. I guess," Trinity stuttered shyly. Her wide eyes were downcast on the kittens in her arms.

A light laugh echoed in the back of his throat. He couldn’t help it, she looked too small and innocent with the two kittens cuddled up in her arms. Cocking a partial smile, he replied, “Alright then. See you later I guess.” He slowly closed the door.

She watched him close the door slowly. He'd been so aggressive with her and Caire in the kitchen. What happened? She looked down at Yawn and Lilac, who were wriggling anxiously in her arms. "Come on. Let's go downstairs." She set them down, but they immediately went to Asher's door again and started mewing. "No no no!" she cried worriedly, rushing over to the door and picking them up again.

Asher cracked the door open just enough so only one of his eyes were visible. He face palmed, seeing the cats back to mewing at his door. “Seriously, what did I do wrong?! Why the hell do kittens love me so much!??! I’m a demon!” He yelled in frustration, more or less mixed with a joking tone. He shook his head at the cats.
