"Ahem." Paige broke away from Jack hastily. Her mother was looking down at her, an eyebrow arched.
"Hi. Mom." Paige looked down at her hands.

@Fraust

"Well there's a lot of different reasons. To gain someone's trust, to trick someone into believing something untrue, to protect someone from a painful truth, and so on."

"But… that seems unreasonable! If no one knows who they really are, why don't they just go by their true alias? It's highly unlikely that they would meet any of these people outside of the internet, isn't it?"

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Exactly. That's why people lie about who they are. But…not all people on the internet are good. There are people out there who are disgusting and young kids who don't know not to reveal personal information on the internet to strangers and they get convinced to meet these weird people who they think are their age but are actually 40 year old men who only want to harm them and use their bodies." His voice was trembling by the end. (I'm going to change a few things from Belle's original story for Brendon cause I wanna try a few things out.) Flashbacks crossed through his memory. While, no, it hadn't happened to him, it had happened to his little brother.

@Fraust

(Cool cool)
"Is there no way to prevent this? We must purge the world of this sin! Who do I go for first?" Caire pulled a short sword out of her backpack. It was beautifully crafted; sleek and elegant, yet dangerously sharp and more than capable of killing someone. That was the way elves crafted things, and it had worked for countless years. Many elvish blades were imbued with poison as well, and almost all of them glowed when they detected danger.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

He shook his head, wiping unshed tears from his eye. "That's the thing. It's nearly impossible to find these disgusting people before it's too late and a child is in danger because they play their game so well. They really convince these kids that they're their friends. And it's not just kids, it's teens too. Sick and twisted men perving on young teenage girls pretending to be in love with them. You almost never know until they're gone."

@Fraust

"I dunno, I'm sure I could find someone to run through with this." Caire said flatly, twirling the sword between her nimble fingers. "I'm better with a bow, but it wouldn't fit in my bag. Also, it's quite rude to kill someone at point blank with a bow. Elves are dignified people, after all. Where do these people usually gather? I take it that this 'internet' has methods for tracking those who use it?"

@Fraust

"I mean where on the internet. Surely there's particular… er… 'sites', that they're most prominent on?"

@Fraust

"Is there a good way to pick them out of a crowd of other users? Certain things they say in particular contexts?"

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Not particularly. They act like everyone else. Once they get personal information like an email or phone number, they ditch the site for that person and use that personal information. It helps them not seem suspicious."

@Fraust

"Hmm… how do you get into the government records? You said that they have all the records for that. Also, if they know what's going on, why aren't they doing anything? If there were a problem in the elvish community that the king knew about, rest assured that he would have it taken care of."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

He laughed. "Honey those records aren't for public use. They're closely guarded under lock and key. They can't do anything without upsetting everyone else. The easiest thing to do would be shut down the internet or make using it more heavily secured. But I have a feeling, despite the benefits, not many people would be too on board with it."

@Fraust

"I suppose this is why elves don't have the internet, hmm? Although if we did, I feel like we'd be more responsible with it. I should introduce you to them sometime. Anywho, what do we do now?"

@Fraust

Caire shrugged. "I mean, school is over, so I could take you into the forest if you'd like. So long as you don't try to damage the forest or anything in it, it's unlikely the other elves will make any attempts on your life."

@Fraust

"Lovely! Follow me." Caire grabbed his hand and began walking into the forest. "Now, as a warning, you may not realize we've entered the village when we do. Most humans don't. It is very natural looking and is well camouflaged. Our homes are generally made in the roots of trees, and we never add anything we do not need to."

@ShadeStar

Let me help, they will fear you, Lillith whispered to him.

No. I can take this, Leon responded. He was going to out himself in front of this many people.

The brutality ended with Leon on the cafeteria floor. Nose bleeding, and a few drops of blood he had coughed up. The crowd dispersed, at least most of them. Richard grabbed Leon's collar and dragged him outside before pinning him to the wall, "Listen here fag. You should just die you know? It would make everyone's lives so much easier."

Richard punched Leon before he could response. In fact no other words were said, he continued the beating except now Leon was pinned against the wall.

(Can anyone guess who Richard is? Or who he's based on.)

@ShadeStar

(Oh and here he's gay and his only crush is Leon. So instead of an abuse parent, he has an abusive one sided lover who takes their feelings out with their fists. It's fun.)

@Fraust

"Well, what'd you do that for?" Caire pulled him to his feet and kept walking, hopping nimbly over a couple more large roots.

@ShadeStar

(Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. Come save Leon. He's in a fuck ton of trouble.)

@Fraust

Caire easily sliced through some tree branches that were in their way with her sword, not even ceasing her walking to do so. "We're almost there. It should be another couple of minutes' walk."
