(My mom was like… "I know you were protecting him but why did you have to beat the guy up? Why can't you use your words to express your feelings?" ……………………. MOM NO.
-I am male
- Testosterone
- Bad at talking
- worse at communicating my feelings.
(Besides what do you even say… "Hey don't say that! That's not nice." That wouldn't do a thing)
She chuckled and shook her head. "Weirdo."
Ryan mimicked her, shaking his head with a slight laugh, "Beautiful woman,"
Lillian's eyes flew open. Her breathing was sporadic, no. Why did it? No.
"Breath," He sighed in relief, "It's okay,"
"Ehhh, depends on who you ask. More like a 6/10."
"Ehhh, depends on who you ask. More like a 6/10."
"9.8/10. Room for improvement but overall… Perfectly imperfect," He smiled.
"Because there's always room for improvement." She smiled sweetly.
"I can't tell if that was a reference but yes that's what I was getting at," He looked down at the smile on her lips.
"Nah, it wasn't, just me." She could get lost in his eyes. An entire universe poured into two glowing swirls of blue.
Ryan's smile dropped, less like he stopped being happy and more like he was distracted, everything about her seemed to attract him, literally pull him in until their lips were brushing together.
He was intoxicating. A drug she could never quit. Everything else had faded into the background, nothing else mattered as much as their ever growing proximity.
Ryan's face grew closer until his head suddenly jerked back.
Nooo! So close! "What? What is it?"
Lillian's eyes flew open. Her breathing was sporadic, no. Why did it? No.
"Breath," He sighed in relief, "It's okay,"
Lillian took controlled breaths. It wasn't enough. Oh God it wasn't enough.
Nooo! So close! "What? What is it?"
"I don't know, I'm sorry," he looked like a guilty child, "I didn't mean to,"
Lillian's eyes flew open. Her breathing was sporadic, no. Why did it? No.

Lillian took controlled breaths. It wasn't enough. Oh God it wasn't enough.
Darren wrapped his arms around her, "Hey, shh, it's okay now,"
"Didn't mean to what?" Now she was confused. He hadn't done anything wrong.
"Pull back, I just… I didn't mean to,"
"No, honey it's alright. You didn't do anything wrong."
Ryan smiled only a little, "Are you sure?"
She smiled softly. "Absolutely."
(WHEN I FIND MYSELF IN TIMES OF TROUBLE… MOTHER MARY COMES TO ME. SPEAKING WOrDS OF WISDOM.)
She smiled softly. "Absolutely."
"Oh," He nodded, "Okay," He was still sorry, he didn't know what happened but it just kinda did.
She felt something. A small pang in her heart. A tiny crack worming its way into her heart's smooth glass surface. He's trying to tear you two apart. My life is on the line here.
Ryan sighed, "So you aren't okay then?" He shook his head. "I didn't mean to do it okay,"
"No no no, it's fine. I'm just…sensitive, I guess." She's trusting you with the most fragile thing in her life. Any small things will only cause cracks but eventually, with enough of them, it'll break.
Ryan only looked guiltier and felt worse, he pressed his lips to hers. He promised to keep her heart safe and he was breaking it himself.
