Caire tried to smile back, but she was still pretty fired up about the forest. She knew she would have to do everything in her power to protect it.
Caire tried to smile back, but she was still pretty fired up about the forest. She knew she would have to do everything in her power to protect it.
He knew telling her would cause this but maybe he could try something. "Hey, I want to show you something. Close your eyes."
Jack grabbed her hand, “Let’s go then.”
Paige grabbed her backpack and looked one last time at her mom before sticking her close to Jack in the packed hall.
"…Alright." Caire sat on the counter cross legged with her eyes closed.
"Don't open them until I tell you to." He took a slow breath and small green threads started to wind into her head. The color grew brighter and then disappeared. "There. You can open your eyes." What he did wasn't much, but he calmed her down and made the whole forest thing just a distant thought in the back of her mind until school was over.
Jack had a death grip on her hand as they walked down the art hallway. It was instantly less packed.
(Ooo can he sort of read her thoughts? Then he'd know she was an elf)
Caire opened her eyes, the green portion of the hazel becoming more prominent in the lights. Her ears were slightly visible through her hair, points and all.
(He can, but chooses not to because he thinks it's rude and weird to just break into someone's head.)
He smiled lightly. "Feeling better?"
She nodded, adjusting her hair so that it fully covered her ears. "What would you like to do now?"
He shrugged. "Don't know. I'm down for whatever you want to do."
(My ring is irritating me bc it's like a size too big aaaAAAaAAA)
"We could draw something on the whiteboard? The blackboard is clearly already taken."
Paige fought the urge to kiss him again. His grip was tight and she loved it.
He smiled. "Sure. What do you want to draw? I've been meaning to try and put some color on my most recent drawing for a while so I'll probably be working on that."
Leo looked at the door to his class, “I guess this is where we part.”
"I'll draw a rose again." Caire picked up a red marker and began sketching out the rose petals.
Leo looked at the door to his class, “I guess this is where we part.”
(Jack?)
"Yeah," Paige murmured.
Brendon pulled his sketchpad, pencil, pen, and markers out of his bag. He took a few slow breaths and started. It was a simple picture, a girl with wings on her back on a cliff looking out to the sunset. She looked like him except a girl. (wink wink nudge nudge) He'd been working on it tirelessly for almost 3 weeks. He finally finished the line art and started on the colors.
Leo looked at the door to his class, “I guess this is where we part.”
(Jack?)
"Yeah," Paige murmured.
(Give me a break I’m tired okay?)
Jack kissed her gently as goodbye, “Wait for me after class?”
(Wow three weeks for lineart Brendan are you okay??)
Caire grabbed a black marker and blended it with the red for shading. After she finished the first rose, she added more surrounding it.
(Nah it was more for the drawing than the lineart but knowing him he can't draw straight lines because he isn't straight like me.)
He glanced up at her every once in a while, admiring her when she wasn't looking. She was distracting. He'd never be able to finish at this rate. But he didn't care.
(Lol)
After Caire seemed to grow tired of drawing roses, she drew a person. It seemed to be herself, but she drew it with her hair back and with a crown of roses. Her pointed ears were visible in the picture.
Leo looked at the door to his class, “I guess this is where we part.”
(Jack?)
"Yeah," Paige murmured.
(Give me a break I’m tired okay?)
Jack kissed her gently as goodbye, “Wait for me after class?”
Paige kissed him back, lingering just slightly longer than necessary. "Of course, My Romeo."
He flipped to a different picture, an assassin of sorts. Dark clothing, knife in hand, and constantly shifting eyes. He was pretty proud of it, but it needed work. So he added onto it, fixing and readjusting.
Jack laughed and sadly let go of her hand, “See you after class then!”
(Gtg night!)
(Night)
Caire glanced down at the assassin, but didn't comment on it. She knew that she always felt awkward when people complimented her art, and she didn't want the situation to become uncomfortable. She added more details to her drawing, pointed the ears a bit more.
"Á tout a l'heure!" Paige called and hurried into GD, taking a seat at her computer.
He finished his fixing and flipped to another page. This one was based off a picture he had at home. It was one of the many times when he'd played Romeo. The famous balcony scene was his favorite.
Caire pulled a small sketchbook and a pencil out of her pocket and sat beside Brendan. She started to recreate her self portrait on the board, but with more intricate details.
He flipped back to the original picture he was working on but paused. Would she mind if he drew her? Too late, he was doing it. He flipped to a new page and drew her, taking quick glances and looking at her from the corner of his eye to get his visuals.
