I kept my crush a secret for so long and I actually felt the same way. I thought she wouldn’t like me back and I could move on but it really worked out for me? So?

I think the best case scenario (and I use best loosely bc like…. I'll explain later) is that she feels the same way and just doesn't know how to tell me, and then we laugh about how nervous we both were later
worst case- I totally embarrass myself and also lowkey make our friendship awkward
but worst case prob won't happen lol, esp if I emphasize that if she doesn't feel the same way, that's okay, I just don't want to lose our friendship

Okay so I use best loosely bc even if she likes me back, I can really only date her until I go to college. Partly bc like… long distance is rough, but also partly bc like… well, my college is a Christian school and they have an honor code, and part of that honor code is essentially don't be gay. Like… you can have same-sex attractions, but you can't act on them. Like it's okay to be gay, but not to act or really be gay I guess. If anyone found out I had a gf, I might be kicked out of my school lol. But maybe I'd just get a warning. IDK.
Plus… as much as I love her rn…. I also know she's not gonna be the person I end up really marrying. So I figure…. if we both go to college, and we're both single, that at least opens the door of opportunity for both of us to meet who we wanna spend eternity with, you know?

but like.
I love her. And I want the best for her and I want her to be happy. And like… this little voice inside me tells me that if we were dating, it wouldn't be best for either of us in the long run. It's like… holistic happiness over the course of our existences vs hedonism, you know?

like if I leave, I want it to be on my terms
either I switch majors
