Jack frowned, “Do you want too?”
Jack frowned, “Do you want too?”
Paige looked up. "Write. Draw. Professional photography. When I tell her I want a career in the Arts, our visions are very different."
Jack smiled, “That’s awesome! Not the thing with your mom. Do you think I could see some of your work?”
Paige blushed. "Sure." She glanced at her mom. "You mean now, or…"
Jack looked to Mrs. Turner then to Paige, “Whenever you want too.”
(WE ARE DOING A REVOTE! I feel like Jack and Paige, while a cute ship, aren’t what the directors want. So sorry, but vote between Leon and Brendon for Romeo and Delilah and Caire for Juliet.)
(We still can't do our own characters or ships right?)
(Oof, idk… Leon and Delilah I guess.)
Paige shrugged. "I… I have a couple photos saved on my phone."
(Okay this might just be me being salty but since Lillian and Darren got the lead roles in the other story I don't really think it would be fair if they got the leads again.)
(Yep, but you could vote for your other ship partner.)
Jack smiled at her, “Really? Can I see them?”
(Got it! Then I'll have to go with Leon and Caire.)
(I know. That’s why we’re voting. Brendon’s good, but technically so is Leon. Same goes for Caire and Delilah. I don’t want to favor anyone.)
(Again, that might just be me being salty.)
(Lol okay.)
"Sure." Paige pulled out her phone and clicked on the Gallery. Almost every thumbnail was a colorful design or photo of some sort.
Jack looked at them in awe, “Wow there great! Your a great artist Paige.”
"Thanks," Paige said, blushing profusely. She had only ever showed her drawings to two people before, and the third time was the best result by a mile.
Jack smiled at her, "Your welcome. Just saying the truth here."
"I don't show this one to anyone…" Paige clicked on the thumbnail to one , making it larger. It was a greyscale of a girl leaned against a wall and crying. Red wounds all over her skin were the only colored things on the picture. Paige allowed him a second to see it, then began zooming in on the redness. The blobs turned into words.
Worthless.
Ugly.
Stupid.
Cry baby.
Freak.
Paige blinked quickly and looked away from the last one: Suicide. It was on a slash through her neck.
Jack was in awe and concern at the picture. He knew from his younger sister that art is a way of a person freeing themselves. A way of showing how they truly feel. He looked to Paige, "Well, thank you for being willing to show it to me."
Paige had her eyes closed and nodded, turning her phone off before anyone else could see, if they were even paying attention.
Jack gave her a side hug, "Hey. It's going to be okay."
Paige felt his touch and looked up quickly. Realizing how unintentionally close they were, she blushed.
Jack laughed and quickly let go of her, "Um sorry."
"It's fine. How are you so… calm out there? You don't seem to care what they think of you," Paige asked admiringly.
Jack rubbed the back of his neck nervously, "Actually that was my first time performing. I've always had a don't care attitude."
"Really? You were amazing. I…"
Jack frowned, "What?"
"I… I'm awful at acting," Paige whispered tersly. "And I wish I was good so that she wouldn't be so hard on me."
"Are you kidding me?" Jack had stood up and faced her, "You're amazing!"
"Not-" Oh my gosh. Say it. No! Paige inhaled softly.
