They were on the beach at night with a candlelit dinner doing beachy things and Ryan was obnoxiously nervous.

Nope. Something's off. "Seriously, what has got you so worked up? You're trembling!" She was starting to get worried, his nerves were, well, unnerving.

Ryan sat up a bit, “N-No I’m not trembling,” he tried to smile.

Worry seeped into her face, her smile fading. Was it something she'd done? No, it couldn't be. She hadn't done anything wrong. Had she? Ahh!

Ryan went to sit up a little more, his hand hit his pants that were on the sand next to them and shook something out of his pocket, a small black box that made Ryan blush.

The worry turned to confusion. He seemed alright but then what was making him so nervous? HELLO GENIUS WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. Her eyes flickered to the box and a light bulb went off. She sucked in a sharp breath. Could it be what she thought it was?

Ryan frantically pushed it back into his pocket and bunched his clothes around it like it didn’t happen as he stammered something that couldn’t be heard.

"Wait what? Cohesive sentence, come on I know it's in there. Try that again."

“That wasn’t what it looked like,” Ha! Nice. Yes it was! No it’s not Uhh, Yeah it is!

"If it's what I think it is then it's not something bad." She had a small hopeful smile playing on her lips.

Ryan’s heart was threatening to burst at this point his mind was racing somehow faster. This was his plan, show her a good day and then ask but he got caught up and then chickened our. Oh well. He grabbed the box and looked at her with a new confidence. “Are you sure?”

"Absolutely!" Her heart was racing. Was he about to propose? She really hoped that's what was in that box.

"When we met it only took, what, an hour for us to be all over each other." he laughed nervously but his eyes held confidence, "I wasn't really in the habit of keeping girls back then, anyone who knew me knew that to be a fact, but, maybe my soul knew something that I didn't and that was that we were meant to be together, forever. It has never been like getting to know you but more like, remembering you from something." he smiled. "I feel lucky to have found you and been able to have you in my life, lucky for someone like you to love me. Because all I want to do, all I have ever wanted to do since the moment we met, was spend my life, my forever, loving you." He looked down at the box then at her, "So, umm, will you marry me?" He swallowed nervously with the last words. The commitment he was ready for but what if she wasn't…

She clapped her hands over her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes. She was speechless. There was only one answer. "Yes!!"

Ryan laughed, tears welled into his eyes but he was relieved as he slid the ring onto her finger. The biggest smile stretched across his face, he was so happy to hear one word as he pulled her into a hug. "I love you,"

"I love you too. Forever and always." She laughed, tears of joy streaming down her cheeks. She was engaged! AHHHHHHHH I think Poppy is dead. I think he killed her. Like, Poppy.exe has stopped working.

He pulled out of the hug to look at her, he wiped her tears with his thumb as his own dripped onto his smiling face. Ryan pulled her into a kiss.

You do realize that- I swear to god if you say anything I will murder you. Point taken. Her thoughts slipped away, as they always did when he kissed her.

Ryan rested his forehead against her's. She had said before that she would marry him but something made him uneasy about tonight, like she'd turn him away or say no. "You said yes," He said to himself under his breath like he needed a reminder so he could calm down.

"That I did. I still can't believe it's real. I'm engaged!" She chuckled, her heart still spazzing out from it.
