Brooke shook her head, chuckling. "I know, right? It can be hard when you're not used to it."
Brooke shook her head, chuckling. "I know, right? It can be hard when you're not used to it."
"And I'm clearly not used to it." Leon said with a slight laugh.
"Clearly," Brooke teased, nudging him with her elbow.
"Very clearly." Leon chuckled.
"Isn't it so pretty out here?" Brooke mused, looking around.
"It is pretty out here." Leon said as he looked around.
"I wonder how long it will take for the leaves on the trees to start changing color," Brooke said.
"Maybe a few weeks." Leon guessed.
Brooke nodded. "Maybe."
"Soo…." Leon started awkwardly, not sure what to say.
"What do you have going on lately?"
"The usual, what about you?"
"You know. Book things. What's the usual?"
"College in the day, Job at night."
"Where do you work? What do you do?"
"I work as a bartender. It's terrible."
Brooke snorted. "Yeah, I bet. Gosh. No wonder you get hit on all the time; you work at a bar!"
"Yes, I work at a bar and it's the worst job. Ever."
"I believe it. I bet the tips are great, though."
"That's the only good part."
"What about free drinks?" Brooke asked. "I mean, personally, I don't drink, and I'm under-aged, but you might."
"They taste terrible."
"All right. What about food? Do that serve food? Do you get free food?"
"Yes, I get free food."
"Well, hey. That's a plus!"
"True."
Brooke felt a drop of water land on the tip of her nose, and she looked up to the sky. Another drop landed on her forehead, causing her to laugh lightly.
"It's raining!" A few drops of water fell on Leon's hair and on the tip of his nose.
"No kidding!" Brooke laughed. "Hurry, there's an awning over there we can sit under!"
"Let's go!" Leon laughed as he went over to the awning.
