Avery heard screaming and ran to one of the rooms to see a girl from the bus fallen on the ground
Crys slowly got back up and glanced over at the door. "Oh! Um, hello! I'm okay!" She grinned through her lie.
“Are you sure?” She asked coming in the room
"Um, yes, fine." She tugged the cloak off quickly and kicked it away under the bed.
“I’m Avery.” She said extending a hand towards her to help her up
(What if her hand is still hot?)
(that'd be awesome, and it'd make sense considering she still has the boots on)
"I'm Crystal. People call me Crys." She took her hand, but suddenly Avery's felt like it was being burned.
“Ow!” She said taking her hand back “wow your hand is really hot!” She said crawling it.
Crys looked down at her boots and threw them off suddenly. They hit the wall with a thup. "Sorry, sorry!" She apologized as Crys herself felt her own hands cool.
Avery looked at the boots “oh you got them too.” She said
"Yeah, but I got a cloak, too." She pulled out the dark blue cloak. It felt friendly and soft in her hands.
“I got a blue and silver suit, gloves and boots.” She said “I don’t know why but it gives me chills thinking about it.” She shivered. She smiled “I was going to go check out the game room, wanna tag along?”
"Uh, yeah." She threw the cloak back on (she liked how it felt, it calmed her down), and put the boots on and followed her new friend out of the room. "So… um… what's your phobia?" She asked as they walked, trying to strike up a conversation.
“I have astraphobia, the fear of lightning and thunder.” She said
"Cool! I mean, no, but I really like lightning and thunder." She suddenly cut herself off, realizing that talking about someone's fear probably wasn't smart.
“I like rain just the other two things that come with it.” She laughed “what about you?” She asked curiously
"Oh, I have a phobia of big words. That's why my plaque is longer than anyone else's probably." She felt a slight twinge of annoyance at the people. Did they think that was funny?
(Wait so why did fire come?)
“I e never heard of that type of phobia.” She said
(Because she had her suit on and she said a word that is acquainted with heat.)
"Yeah, no one really does. That's why I always fail my vocab tests…"

(That’s a sick power!”
They entered the game room and Avery was taken aback with all the devices in the room

(Yeah, thanks! It also works with other words. So if she were to say 'cool' it would send out a stream of ice, but I might use longer words. Or not, i dunno)
Crys looked around and wandered over to an old-school arcade machine. "Awesome…" Suddenly, the console froze. "What the he[beep]?" It melted, looking normal.
“That’s weird… let me try.” She said coming over
Crys stepped back a little. "Okay, okay." She looked down at her hands, which were still glowing a deep red. "WHAT???" She backed up into the pool table.
“You said hell and your hands started glowing… maybe say normal?” She tried
"I… don't think so." She glanced at Avery.
She shrugged
She blinked at her and pointed her palms at the pool table. "Hot." The pool table went up in flames, but it didn't affect the table. "Awesome…" Her palms turned a bright blue. The pool table froze into perfect ice.
Avery stepped back “Woah!”
Crys grinned. She really liked this. Really liked it.
“Please make your way back to the room. Lights in the floor will guide you.” A voice on the intercom said
