Caspian looked away from the toy, but didn’t stop playing with it.

"I'm Paige." The ice had melted quickly in her warm palms.

“Caspian, call me Cas.” He told her finally looking at her face

"Okay." Paige smiled, trying to be encouraging but turning out shy.

Cas looked at her and examined her face.
(That’s sounds very creepy lmao )

(Dimples… pale freckles… What? ;D)

Paige could feel her cheeks heat up slightly. She was the shy little nerd girl who sat in the back of the class. She never got stared at.

Caspian realized what he was doing and started apologizing “I’m sorry I d-don’t know w-what came over m-me! I-I truly am s-sorry!” He stammered

(Gtg it’s 1:14 am here lol)

Paige pressed her lips together, blushing furiously. "Uh, it's… fine. It's fine." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then did it again even though it was already there.

(Aww, a couple of shy beans flirting… How awkwardly sweet!)

Caspian took in her blush and was shocked “why are you blushing?” He asked absolutely confused

(Sorry! My Kindle died last night. It stayed at 1% for a whole half hour, though, it was amazing! But then it just gave up, so…)

"I… I'm not used to attention, I guess." And I'm deathly shy and have freakish social anxiety…

"Social anxiety doesn't help either." Why did THAT come out?

Cas laughed a littl “it doesn’t seem like you are socially awkward.” He replied

Tara had nodded at Paige, but apparently she had gotten distracted. With difficulty, Tara attempted to drag herself off of the counter.

Paige saw a flurry of movement and quickly went over to Tara with a "Be right back" said to Cas. "Uh, sorry," she stammered .

"I-it's okay." Tara said as she got off the counter. "I'm going to….to go back to my room until this passes. You have fun with your other friend."

"Are you sure?" Paige tugged Tara's arm.

Tara's breaths came out short and panicked. She felt like she couldn't move.

"Tara? Tara!?" Paige took Tara 's shoulders and shook them. "Tara?!!"

"W-W-What?" Tara managed as she sucked in a breath.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" Paige asked worriedly.

Cas looked at the girl slightly panicking

"It'll be okay, I promise," Paige whispered, hugging Tara tightly.

Tara sighed, leaning into Paige and hugging her back, steadying her breaths.
