Ginger's eyes got cold, then softened. "My… My sister died," she admitted softly.

(RYAN IS ME)
Ryan. Is. On. The. Floor.
(Ryder. There's a very distinct difference.)
He looked a bit taken back and then knelt in front of her. "I lost the only piece of home I had left. She'll never be mine again." His voice was sad, soft, unlike earlier.
(HAVE CHRIS DO SOMETHING I HAVE A VERY SPECIFIC PLAN.)

(Okay.)
Ginger was confused. This wasn't the same boy she'd talked to earlier. "This necklace… It's our birthstones. Amethyst for me and Topaz for her. Aquarius and Sagittarius. Best…" She choked. "Best friends."
Chris decided to care. Why? Jacks told him to. "Hey are you okay?" He rubbed her back with concern in his blue eyes.
His eyes lifted to meet hers. "I-I'm sorry about how I acted earlier. I was cocky and overconfident. I guess that's just what I'm like." He chuckled sadly. "I'm sorry about your sister."
"It's… It's fine," Ginger replied slowly. Her gaze rested too long on his eyes.
Hey! You! Yes, you! Chris! Stop breaking the 4th wall! That's my job!
She smiled innocently as she removed her eyepatch. "Me? Okay?" She giggled with slight insanity. "I don't know what you're talking about." Then was the sound of ripping strings and she turned to look at him with an insane smile. One eye was its original green and the other had a giant X right over the center, rendering her blind. "Let's have some fun, shall we?"

"Let's not," He growled. "We don't like fun. See we're a pretty low key family and we don't care about anything. He cares for her so that's a first,"
(Nothing phases Chris. He's a little broken and doesn't have emotions)
His brown eyes were warm, caring. His smile was soft and sweet. "You have such pretty eyes." He whispered under his breath. "What's your name?" His voice returned to a normal volume.

Ginger's stomach flipped. "Ginger," she replied softly.
"Oh? Is that so? I'm sure I can change your mind!" With some kind of inhuman force, she buried three knives into his neck that flung him across the room and into the wall, unable to be removed. She walked over slowly. "You see, I get murderous when I go insane. And while I can't hurt that one," She motioned to Ryan on the floor. "Because he means too much to me, I can hurt you with no remorse."
"Well, hello Ginger. I'm Ryder. Ryder Collins." He stuck out a gentle hand for a shake.
Chris pulled the knives out with nothing more than a wince, "And yet I still don't give a shit,"
Ginger tentatively reached out her hand and took his.
(BRUH GO BACK AND REREAD THAT PARAGRAPH. I LITERALLY SAID THEY CAN'T BE REMOVED.)
He shook her hand lightly, not wanting to hurt her. "Right, this is getting uncomfortable. Why don't we go to the park, find a bench, and talk there?"
"Okay," Ginger said, retracting her hand and pushing herself off the ground.
He stood, stretching. "Alright, I'm fairly new to this town so you can lead the way." He gestured to the sidewalk with a small, amused smile.
Ginger looked around and decided on the closest park. It would do nicely. She started off in that direction.
He followed next to her, unsure of what to say. Talking to girls like Belle was easy. He knew what she liked and what she didn't. It was easy to predict her reactions. New people were mysteries. He was unsure of how they would react to different things.
(Chris isn't a real person. Lol. He's a fourth wall wrecking ball.)
Chris stared up at her, "I don't think using me as a ragdoll for a few hours is what you really want,"
Ginger entered the park and found the a bench quickly. She sat down and made room for Ryder. The bench was cramped. She debated choosing another bench before he sat down.
"Oh? And why is that?" She pulled a new knife out and dragged it across his skin, making slight cuts across his face and arms every once in a while.
Chris' scratches healed partially and he didn't really feel pain anyways. "Not that 'you'll regret it' or anything just I feel that's not what you really want. There's something deeper here. Is it a family member? Did you lose someone?"
He quickly sat next to her, not realizing how squished it would be. They were pressed together, shoulder to shoulder. Now, normally, he'd be embarrassed, but for some reason, he wasn't with her.
Ginger turned to look at him and found that their faces were only inches away from each other's. Her face heated quickly.
Sebastian looked at his watch, "Is she going to sleep again? At this time?"
Lillian snored.
