Lilah took a seat next to Leon, "Nice job up there,"
Lilah took a seat next to Leon, "Nice job up there,"
Leon nodded and smiled at her, "You too."
Michelle shook her head, "Wait for Brendon to get up please Caire before starting."
(Oh frick I just assumed he was up there lol)
(Lol it's fine.)
Yeah, my time to shine! Jax I swear if your demon ass messes this up for him I will stab you. Relax Cameron, you angel worrier, I got this. Brendon sighed, grabbing his script and getting on stage. He took a few deep breaths and began. But his voice was different. It wasn't really his own. The demonic undertones and darkness were noticeable.
Caire smoothly followed Brendan's lines. It seemed that one of the few places Caire was confident was while she was acting. It was calming to be someone else for once.
(Who are Jax and Cameron?)
(Oh right. You don't know. Um, in the simplest terms, Jax is the king of hell and Cameron is the king of heaven. Put them together and you get Brendon.)
(Okay)
(Hey kiddos?)
(Hiiii. It's your turn, so I was waiting)
(Yeah I've kind of just been sitting here like 'Is anyone gonna say anything?' to be honest.)
Leon nodded and smiled at her, "You too."
Michelle shook her head, "Wait for Brendon to get up please Caire before starting."
"You really think so?" She was afraid she blew it.
(Same.)
Leon nodded again, "Of course! You were great!"
(Sorry. Imma derp)
Delilah smiled, "Thanks, I'm happy I didn't blow it."
Leon smiled, "I wouldn't be surprised if you got Juliet to be honest."
"I'm not so sure about that…." She smiled brightly at him.
Ugh, how long is this damn scene? Not like we haven't done it a thousand times and you know exactly how long it is. Can it you. It's called a rhetorical question. Brendon added movements and dramatic additions to the lines. It was a force of habit. He was a theater brat, learning how to improvise it standard.
Leon laughed, "Oh I know it. I also know I'm going to be your Romeo."
He blushed, "That came out wrong."
Caire made sure she got every detail right. Every body movement told a story, every bat of her eyelashes. every false tear for Juliet's sorrow. "But alas, we cannot be, Romeo. Our kingdoms cannot have any…" A tear slid down her cheek. "Correspondence. Surely you understand that better than anyone?"
Leon laughed, "Oh I know it. I also know I'm going to be your Romeo."
He blushed, "That came out wrong."
Delilah laughed, "It did come out wrong. It's fine. I know what you meant."
"But my dear Juliet, I cannot stand living another day without you!" He was on his knees, gripping her hand. Every move was calculated perfectly. Nothing could be messed up. Words mean nothing without a convincing visual.
Leon let out a sigh of relief, "Thank God. Those two are really good."
"Oh, how I wish we could be. Romeo, you know it is impossible for us, and yet we both want it so badly. Perhaps if we… met in secret?" She batted her eyelashes, looking sincerely down at Brendan.
Leon let out a sigh of relief, "Thank God. Those two are really good."
"Yeah, they were! I bet we were better,"
Leon smiled, "Oh hell yeah we were."
"In secret, yes, in secret. My dear Juliet, we will be together at last. And one day, we will leave this place. Run away and leave our lives and these rules behind. No longer a prince and princess to a kingdom, but to each other." He had stood and pulled her into his arms. The temptation to kiss her to really cement the scene in place was extreme, but he restrained it.
Leon smiled, "Oh hell yeah we were."
Lilah put a hand up for a high five… not weird, right?
Leon high fived her.
