"Sounds fancy." Vixie smirked, looking out the window. "Don't hurt yourself saying all those words, now."
(It's fine)
Leon rolled his eyes, "I'm not going to hurt myself saying all those words."
(Lol)
"Alrighty. When will it be finished? I get impatient sometimes. You know, I could annoy you by acting like a cat. Going out and killing a bird, leaving it on your doorstep, all that good stuff."
"In about 40 minutes, and please don't do that."
"Aww, but it'd be fun!" She laughed. "Foxes look rather like cats anyways, although technically they're part of the canis family."
"Fine, only if you clean it up afterwards."
Vixie rolled her eyes and leaned back on the couch, yawning and glancing back out the window.
He went to the oven when he heard the ding and takes it out, "It's done! Just wait for a little bit, it's very hot."
"Alrighty, how long's that gonna take?" Vixie asked with a hint of impatience. She wanted to see whether Leon was all talk or not.
"About 2 or 3 minutes. It won't take long." He started cutting them into pieces.
Vixie nodded, laying her head back on the couch again as she watched a bird glide by.
Leon gave one of the pieces to Vixie and took one for himself.
Let's see how this is. Vixie took a bite of the gallette. "Better than expected." She said after a few moments.
"And what were your expectations?" He took a bite of the gallette.
"I expected it to be good, but not amazing."
"So it's amazing?"
"It's great." She smiled softly. But not amazing… wonder if he'll catch that?
"Thanks, I'm not that great at cooking." He smiled back.
"You'll improve. I can teach you how to get the full potential out of an apple. It's an unusual ingredient, especially when it comes to meat, but it's wonderful when prepared properly."
"I'll probably blow up the kitchen when you try to teach me."
"Failing that badly would take talent, honestly. It's quite difficult to blow up an apple unless it's intentional."
"We'll see about that."
Vixie shrugged. "If you say so. Do you want to do that now or another time?"
"Your choice."
"Well, we haven't really got anything else to do. I'll be right back." Vixie stood up and turned into a fox before trotting out the door, soon returning with a basket full of fresh apples.
"Okay then."
Vixie changed back and placed the basket on the table. "Come on, then. We've got all day, technically, but I'd really rather it didn't take that long." She began slicing apples, tossing a knife to Leon so he could do the same.
Leon caught the knife and lazily walked over to the kitchen and began slicing apples.
"You want to leave the skin on the apples if you can. They get crispy and soak in a lot of the flavors." She put a few apple slices into a pan.
