“Ah, wait! I forgot, you should tie them together first,” Aster corrected.

“How…? Please help.” Jasper pleaded.

“Do you still have the string I gave you?”

“Yep, it’s in my pocket.” Jasper grinned, pulling it out.

“Perfect! Ok, so you take three flowers like this.” Aster grabbed three flowers and a stem. He looked up to see if Jasper was following his lead.

“Uh huh…” Jasper said, holding three flowers and a stem awkwardly.

“Ah, wait, in place of the stem, put the string, I’m tying this with a stem.”

“I knew that.” Jasper mumbled embarrassedly.

Aster laughed, “Anyway, then you tie them all together, like this.” Aster tied the three flowers to each other loosely, but tight enough they didn’t move too much.

“Oh, okay.” Jasper nodded, tying the flowers together.

“Nice! Ok, now you just braid them all together.” Aster started braiding his flowers.

“All the way down?” Jasper asked, suddenly thankful that he learned how to braid from his weird preschool.

“No, until about here.” Aster pointed out his braid which was about an inch long.

“Okay…” Jasper said, braiding the stems.

“Perfect! Now, take another flower,” Aster grabbed a flower, “and put it next to another flower like this,” Aster demonstrated, “and keep braiding. You do that until you get a long braided flower rope thing. I’ll show you how to finish it when we get there.”
