“Of course! What kinds of flowers do you want?”
“Of course! What kinds of flowers do you want?”
“Flowers… that are…. flowers.”
Aster laughed, “Ok, that works. Do you have a specific color scheme you’d like?”
“What color goes with green?” Jasper asked, sitting on the ground.
“Going by the color wheel, red, blue, and yellow mostly, but if you do it right, mostly anything can look good with green”
(Sorry, my dad dragged me off to learn stuff.)
“You are a good color coordinator, if I have any questions about color coordination, from now on, I will ask you.” Jasper grinned, “And for the color scheme for the colors… the colors that you just suggested.”
“Thanks,” Aster smiled, “and ok! So, let’s look around and see if we can find any flowers!”
“Yessir!” Jasper laughed.
Aster laughed and wandered around the field. He picked a few flowers, grabbing dandelions, a few irises, ceratostigmas, a few daisies, and a few more flowers. After a while he called to Jasper, “Any luck with finding flowers you like?”
“I found a ladybug!” Jasper grinned, holding some flowers with his elbow, but he was completely focused on the little red beetle in his hands.
“A ladybug?!” Aster gasped. He ran over to Jasper. Aster set his flowers down to admire the small bug, “Wow! It’s so pretty!” He beamed.
“Yea.” Jasper beamed, watching it crawl all over his palm.
“I’m gonna name him Larry!” Aster smiled and asked the ladybug, “How are you, Larry?”
“You named him Larry.” Jasper giggled, for some odd reason, he found that hilarious.
“Yup! It seemed right, doesn’t he look like a Larry?” Aster beamed at Jasper.
“He definitely looks like a Larry.” Jasper nodded, “You look like an Aster.”
“And you look like a Jeffrey,” Aster joked.
“I knew my mom named me wrong.” Jasper joked.
“Well, from now on, your name is Jeffrey!” Aster declared to the empty field.
“I am Jeffrey MeLean.” Jasper snickered.
Aster laughed, “Yup! Jeffrey McLean!” He laughed again, the name being funny to say for him.
“It’s so funny to say it.” Jasper giggled, readjusting the flower crown on his head.
“It really is.” Aster nodded in agreement.
“So, what flowers did you get?” Jasper asked, suddenly remembering what they were supposed to be doing.
“Oh! Uh…” Aster bent down and grabbed the flowers he got, “let’s see… I got some dandelions, a few irises, some daisies, some ceratostigmas, and a few wildflowers I found.” Aster looked up, “What did you find?”
“I got… flowers.” Jasper answered, he had no idea what the names of the flowers were. He moved the ladybug to his right palm and grabbing the flowers from his elbow with his left hand.
Aster laughed, “That’s good, now, choose the first three you’d like.” Aster sat on the grass.
“Um, can you choose for me?”
“Nope!” Aster crossed his arms, “You pick.”
Jasper sighed, “Um, these three.” He held up three flowers to be sky, like the Statue of Liberty.
