Ryan looked at Belle, "Darren?"

Leo waved to them he was standing outside of the hospital. He walked up and saw Darren, "You ready?"

She nodded. "Looks like we're taking another trip to the hospital."

She nodded. "Looks like we're taking another trip to the hospital."

Ryan nodded and got up immediately, he promised his brother he'd be there and would never break that promise.

Her heart was racing. If Darren died, he couldn't be saved. She was terrified of what might happen.

Leo waved to them he was standing outside of the hospital. He walked up and saw Darren, "You ready?"

"I suppose," he walked in to recognize an entire pack of familiar faces. His family was there waiting for him even his father who greeted him with a surprising hug.

Her heart was racing. If Darren died, he couldn't be saved. She was terrified of what might happen.

"Are you ready?" Ryan looked at her with a false sense that everything would be okay.

"As I'll ever be…I guess." She chewed on the inside of her cheek in nerves.

"We better go then," He kissed her cheek, "He needs us,"

"Yeah. Let's go." She walked out before her nerves could get the better of her.

Lillian and Leo stayed behind him. Leo had a tight arm around Lillian, if anything went wrong. Well, he would just have to see right? Lillian would be fine.

Darren was ushered away quickly by a doctor and asked the others to remain in the waiting room.

Ryan walked in to see Darren already being pulled away.

Leo had a tight arm around Lillian who was playing with her nails muttering to herself. He let out a sigh, here they came.

She sighed quietly. "Looks like we just missed him." Her stomach twisted and she felt like she was going to be sick.

"Darren wants to see you for a couple minutes if you'd like—" The nurse cut herself off when she saw all the people here for one kid. "Sorry umm, he said Lillian, Belle and Ryan for now,"

Belle was a bit surprised. Out of all his family and friends, he wanted to see her? It was a pretty high honor.

Leo kissed Lillian's forehead as she walked over to the nurse. She gave her a forced smile, "I'm Lillian."

The nurse nodded, "Follow me then"
Ryan jerked up out of his seat. He ignored the eyes in the room burning into the back of his neck as he followed the nurse.
He was oddly aware of the sound of his shoes on the floor as he moved down one hallway and then another. They made a strange rhythm, a tap as his toe struck the linoleum, a squeak at the ball of his foot, a groan of leather, and then the pattern repeated as he dropped down the other foot.

Tap, squeak, groan

Tap, squeak, groan

Tap, squeak, groan

…. on and on it went as they navigated the maze of hallways.

The nurse handed them masks. Her fingers brushed Ryan's as he murmured something about contagions.
