Zander felt Dani's tears soak through his shirt and in a quiet voice replied."Dani, you are amazing, and truly incredible, but if you couldn't help them, no one could. You can't blame yourself for it. If you were them would you want them to blame themselves for your death? Or would you want them to remember you and mourn you, and then accept your passing with respect? To remember you for the happy times, instead of the loss at the end."

Ace jumped and then broke into a grin, "Macha! Hey!" he hugged her when she reached him and suddenly started talking, "Did you see Blake and Frankie? And Dani and Zander? It's like, did someone sprinkle Amortentia in their drinks or something?"
Dani sobbing subsided a little. She looked up at Zander. "I know. T-Thanks." She looked up into his eyes. He looked so worried. Skylar was right.
Macha grinned, her internal radar picking up on something sad in his demeanour. “Ha, probably. I suspect Kata. You okay? You look a bit sad.”, she asked with a note of concern voice not as weak as before.

"I'm fine. The anniversary of my boyfriend's death always gets me." Ace managed a grin and then his eyebrows wrinkled in concern, "You okay? Did you have another bad spell? Yes? I thought so. Come here." he kissed the cracks in her cheek and put a hand on the back of her neck, pulling her closer, "It's gonna be okay. I should've been there for you."

Macha’s heart swelled for Ace, touched by his words. “I’m fine. I’m sorry about your boyfriend. Kano, right?” Sweet Ace, always looking out for others and never taking some time for himself.

Dani smiled as he kissed her forehead. "Thanks." Then she laughed lightly. "Sky is going to freak out. Not mention Macha." She leaned on his shoulder. "Sorry for crying. It's hard to stay strong sometimes."

"Kameo, actually. Kano is a whole different story. He's an R.A.C. officer that I met and am on good terms with. How do you even know his name? Did you meet him? He's at the R.A.C. base in the jungle, so I don't know how you would know him." Ace ran his hand through his hair, "Come to think of it, he hasn't sent me any messages for a while…."
"You don't always have to be strong by yourself, I am here for you now." Zander said, running his hand through her hair. " And Macha and Sky can tease you all they want, that's what sisters do, even if their not of blood."

He's gonna be so frickin devastated, it's like, Kano and Kameo died on this day……
Dani nodded. "I'm used to keeping all of this to myself. It's hard to let people see your hurt. It makes you feel vulnerable, and I've had someone close to me hurt me before."
"You won't have to anymore, I promise."Zander kissed her forehead again." I'll be your shoulder, your shield and your support. I be here for you. Always."
Dani's breathing slowed, and she calmed down. Now if only Sabine holds to her promise. Dani thought.
Dani smiled at Zander. "Thanks. Would you like to try and dance with me?"
Zander smiled and helped her to her feet,"Yes, I would love too."
She smiled. "Have you ever danced before?"
" Depends, does having man shoot at your feet count?" Zander joked, then sighed." No but I don't think it would be that hard."
