Nova covered her mouth and looked away, trying not to laugh.

"So Ashton, Did you sleep well?" He looked confused but nodded "Oh, man I'm glad to hear that." Lily put her hand on his shoulder "I was so worried you were going to have trouble sleeping," He shrugged her hand off "What's going on?" He looked to Nova than back at Lily "Are you accusing me of something? how rude I was just worried." Ashton stood from the table. "Yeah, I think I'm done. Thanks for the food." He said as he walked away. Once he was out of sight Lily broke out in laughter.

Nova laughed.

"That felt good." Lily looked over to where Ashton disappeared. She still couldn't help but be curious.

Nova looked around. "Hey, where's Wren?"

"Not sure? maybe he slept in." It felt weird around Ashton without Wren there.
(I seriously wonder where everyone is haha)

Nova shrugged. "He probably just didn't hear the bell." She waited a moment. "I'm gonna go bother Ashton some.

"While you do that, I'm going to clean up breakfast." Lily stayed behind as she watched her friend walk away.

Nova walked outside and found Ashton right outside the door. "Hey, it k if I call you Ash, like in Pokemon?"

"Sure, I don't mind." Ashton had never seen Pokemon, but now it's on his list of things to do. "What's up?"

Nova shrugged. She was still trying to come up with a way to make him mad. She had thought that the Pokemon thing would work. She was the only person she knew that actually liked Pokemon.

"Is your leg better?" He asked giving hay to the horses. He had extra chores today so he might as well start early.

"No, you did a shitty job."

Roxanne dragged herself downstairs, frowning

"Well, it was my first time." He gave a shrug. "You can blame Lily for putting that job on me."

Lily spotted Roxanne "Roxanne, you made right on time, I was about to put the food away." Lily smiled

Nova frowned and crossed her arms. "It hurt like hell, you know."

She blinked, still a bit tiered. "Wha's 'appening today?" She muttered through a yawn

"I'm sorry okay. I did my best not to hurt you. But like I said it was my first time." He leaned against the counter in the barn. He didn't understand why Nova hated him so much when he was trying to be nice to her.

"Eating then chores and free time if we get chores done fast enough." Lily put the food back on the table. "Meet us in the barn when you're done and I'll give you your first job."

Nova sighed. "Why can't you just be mad? Lily was able to do it!"

She nodded, sitting down

"You want me to be mad?" He raised an eyebrow. That is a weird thing to want. "Well, Lily has done it before. I won't say I'm better than her at something she is clearly better than me at it." He shook his head and shrugged "Sure I may not like her much, But she has skills that I don't I won't deny it."

Nova rolled her eyes. "No, I mean Lily was able to make you mad. At breakfast earlier."

"That's what you're worried about?" Ashton laughed "That's because I don't like her. You don't bother me. She's just a bit too boyish and country for me." He put his hand on his chin "I do enjoy making her mad though."

Nova laughed. "If the reason you don't like her is because she's boyish, I don't see how you tolerate me!" Nova was nervous. Was he able to see through her?

She ate a bit, before standing up and heading to the barn.

"Mhm…" He smiled. Being around many people he picked up a few things from them. He was a good judge of character. He didn't think Lily is a bad person, just not someone he hang out with. He wouldn't let her know that , for now, "Well, how about we get to some chores." He stretched and grabbed a bale of hay. He worked out often and was pretty strong. "Do you mind watering?" Looking back at her. upon a closer look, she was quite small.

Lily walked around to the back of the barn mixing the pigs food before putting it in a bucket. "Roxanne, can you help me with these?"
