"W-what no, sure she's cute, her toughness is interesting," He knew he wasn't helping himself. "Okay yeah, I like her and if you were going after her of course she would pick you, so I'm just bracing myself" Ashton looked away "Don't tell her, I'm trying to get on her good side."
Lily handed the contacts to Nova hoping it will help her. "Here see if they help a bit,"

Ashton wasn't sure if Wren was telling the truth or just playing him, it didn't matter though he was going to win. He now just needed to keep this info away from Lily. She would defiantly use that to her advantage.
“No hard feeling then?” Wren asked.
Nova accepted the contacts and put them in. Suprisingly, they worked. "They work!"
Ashton nodded "Yeah, no hard feelings. Also keep this away from Lily." Sarah (Lily's mom) Came out with two small kids carrying a lot of food. more than Ashton thinks they needed.
Nova and Lily moved back out to the garden and sat down.
“That’s a lot of food…” Wren said
Lily sat next to Nova, while the boys sat at the other end. "Roxanne didn't come out." Lily wondered what the boys talked about while they were inside. It didn't matter, Lily felt a bit closer to Nova and that's all that mattered.
"Please don't tell them."
"Of course I won't," Lily said while shoving mashed potatoes in her mouth. "That's attractive," Ashton said sarcastically. Lily rolled her eyes and continued eating
Nova glared at Ashton. "Honestly, why can't you ever juat mind your own buisness?"
"I was kidding," Ashton looked over at Wren to get some backup. "Sure," Lily replied. She didn't really care how she looked. If she really wanted to impress people she could. It's not like she is a savage, she knows how to do makeup and dress nice. She just chooses not too.
"Still, focus on your own food." Nova ate her mashed potatoes a bit too gracefully.
“Alright alright, it was a joke.” He said, eating a mouthful meat.
Nova found her gaze wandering to Wren. Why did she keep on doing that?
Wren made quiet conversation to Ashton, laughing a little and the odd joke. Maybe he guy wasn’t as bad as he first thought.

Lily laughed almost spitting out food Wren was doing the same as her, "Right," Lily forgot she had left Wren at the lake all by himself "Wren, I apologize deeply for leaving you earlier." She felt bad especially since he was the only nice one to her at the time.

Lily made her way to the girl's house. "Hey," She tapped Roxanne on the shoulder "It's time to eat. We all have to eat together it's another rule."
She looked up, tugging her headphones off again, American Idiot still softly playing. "What?"

She sighed, pausing the music and getting up
Nova looked away, blushing. "Wh- no!"
"Hm," Lily looked form Nova to Wren, she could see why Nova liked him. "If you say so," Lily shrugged.
Nova didn't make eye content with Lily as she finished her food. "I'm serious!"
Lily's mom poked her head out "Kids it's about time to head to bed. You have to wake you early tomorrow." Lily helped pick up some food and headed back to the Girl's house.
