and then over the summer (this was just last summer) we got to go to Greece for an academic competition and wow I think that's when I started to fall for her. For the first flight, it was 12 hours long, and we sat next to each other. The flight was v empty, so we had a whole row to ourselves and it was just nice to joke around and laugh and I took a nap for a while, and my head wasn't quite in her lap but almost so I guess that's cute
quick aside… she's an artist and I can't remember the context but on that flight she drew a lil British dude (maybe it was supposed to be Tom Felton, I have vague memories of it being him) holding a cup of tea and saying "What a wonderful day to be british) okay aside over
and then we just spent an entire week with each other and it was great bonding time and like… on the one tour we got to take down the coast of Athens to a temple of poseidon she fell asleep on my shoulder? And she was so cute????
And then the last night or second to last night we were there, we were going to go to my room (I had a hotel room to myself, bc I was traveling with a teacher chaperone who had her own room, she was with her mom), and I said "I'll take these (they were pastries) up to our room." I meant my room but…. she was like "what are we married now" and the other girl who was being chaperoned said "Yes. You are. I now pronounce you wife and wife." So that's how we ended up married
and then just a few days after getting back from Greece I texted her and told her that I had been questioning my sexuality for a few months now, and she just kind of helped me crystallize my identity? And that was just so important to me and that's prob part of why I love her so much
and then you have the hotel room bed sharing story from Yale that I sent a page or two back

she introduced me to this anime called my hero academia and I think one of my favorite moments is when we were watching it together and we were sitting on my bed and she just kinda laid her head on my shoulder and like I said earlier we're just the perfect size for each other and we fit together and so I laid my head on hers and we just sat there watching this v cute superhero anime and again it was just so perfect

WAIT GUYS THIS IS THE KICKER
so uh there was this sophomore (so two years below me in school) (INSERT: guess who…. that's right!! Strange girl!!! okay let's keep going) and we had like… this weird faux dating relationship? I'm pretty sure she was bi too but wouldn't admit it. But at lunch one time I was sitting on the table (as I always do) and she was like, one arm around my shoulder and we were just talking to our friends and I turn to face her and she puckers up and like… I'm pretty sure it's a joke but uh I'm not into kissing atm and I kinda lean back (oh and all my friends saw it lol that was fun). Thankfully my friends are pretty great (at this point, I think all 3 ppl I'm out to were in the room) and my friends just laughed it off and joked about it goodnaturedly. I laughed along, told them "I'm just not into kissing rn." My friend Denisse (who knows I'm bi/ace) said "or kissing girls at all?!" so good on her for covering me, esp since I almost contradicted her aloud and almost outed myself inadvertently.
But uh here's the good stuff. Bell rings, we're walking to our next class.

Me: like… after hs or after school today.
Jessy: Today. Make out with me by the dumpster after school.

oh and after school sometimes we'd just sit out on the front lawn bc I bike to and from school, but her parents were v late to pick her up (or forgot, as they did one time lol). I'm not sure when I started to- I don't want to say fall in love, that's very strong- but I guess when I really started to love you

my friend Nick invited me and a few others to his house to watch anime (all my friends are tryna get me into it lol) and have food (bc the boy can COOK DANG HIS FOOD IS SO GOOD) but Jessy couldn't go. But when my mom picked me up at the end (still working on my license lol. Didn't have time with school), she asked how it was and who was there and stuff
and she noticed I didn't mention Jess's name, whom she knows is my best friend. And my mom asked
I told her "Jessy already had plans. She's at lunch with a boy from another school." And this boy, his name is Josh. AND I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW that Jess and Josh are just friends, neither is interested in the other, but as soon as I said that I just got…. really jealous? Bc I realized exactly how that would sound to my mom or any other person who didn't know that dynamic

And Jessy was just like "you talk about me? smh" and honestly it was mildly embarrassing but I also got the feeling that she was secretly pleased/flattered

okay so
I wear a fitbit, which tracks my heart rate right? and I was staying after school to work on a project, and Jess was there and she started playing with my fitbit. She found the heartrate tracker and started to try to raise it, by like, tickling me? (I'm v v ticklish) and I got backed in the corner and we're both laughing and I'm trying to hold her away but then she twirls into my arms and her back is against my stomach and we're both laughing and in that moment I was so happy and it was so perfect.
and then she checked my heartrate and it hadn't gone up (but it had already been almost 20 bpm higher than normal) and she was disappointed. I told her (I don't even think I was using a joking tone) that maybe it was already high bc I was around her? And she kinda laughed and just went stoooopppp
